Rob Gronkowski was a beast among men during his playing days with the New England Patriots, earning First Team All-Pro honors four times and winning three Super Bowl titles. When he called it a career after the 2018 season, it seemed the tight end had nothing left to do but sit back, relax and wait for the call from Canton in five years.
But Canton will have to wait.
Gronk officially ended his one-year retirement in April after the Buccaneers acquired him in a trade with the New England Patriots the week of the draft. Now reunited with Brady, big things are expected from Gronk in his comeback year, where he will be joining an offense that features Pro Bowl wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
So, what can we expect from Gronkowski in 2020? See what the crew over on Good Morning Football had to say.
“I think we are going to see the child-like, joyful @RobGronkowski that we haven’t seen in a few years.”

I definitely think Gronk will relish playing in a more relaxed environment than he was accustomed to in New England under Bill Belichick. That’s not to say Gronk didn’t love playing for the Patriots, but it was clear towards the end of his time there that he wasn’t the same. A year away from the game and a fresh beginning in Tampa might be just the thing to reawaken the Gronkowski of old.
Good news for Brady and the Bucs. Bad news for the rest of the NFL.
