The Memphis Grizzlies (24-50) visit the Detroit Pistons (13-61) Monday. Tip-off from Little Caesars Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Grizzlies vs. Pistons odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Memphis leads 1-0 with a 116-102 road win Dec. 6

Memphis was routed 118-88 by the Orlando Magic Saturday while failing to cover as a 13-point road underdog. The Grizzlies, who have now lost 3 straight, shot only 36% from the field and 33.3% from deep in the loss. No scorer eclipsed the 16-point mark for Memphis in the loss.

Detroit beat the Washington Wizards 96-87 Friday while covering as a 3.5-point road underdog. G Cade Cunningham put up 33 points while C Jalen Duren added 17 boards for the Pistons in the win. Friday’s win ended an 8-game losing steak for the Pistons.

Grizzlies at Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 107, Pistons 104

Moneyline

LEAN GRIZZLIES (+122).

Memphis has won 5 consecutive matchups vs. Detroit and is 8-2 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings. The Grizzlies are also a surprisingly solid road team at 16-22 in away games, while Detroit is only 7-31 at home.

This is only a lean because both teams are only 2-8 in their last 10 games and both are terrible. The only real advantage here is how dominant the Grizzlies have been recently vs. Detroit.

Against the spread

PASS.

I like Memphis +3 (-110) to cover here, but its odds are better on the moneyline.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 213.5 (-110).

The Under has hit in back-to-back games for the Pistons and is 8-2 in their last 10 overall.

For Memphis, the Under hit in its last outing and is 2-1 in its last 3 road games.

The Under has been safer for both teams this season at 39-34-1 for Memphis and 37-36-1 for the Pistons. The Under has also hit in 7 of the last 10 meetings between these squads.

Memphis Grizzlies at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Memphis Grizzlies at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Memphis Grizzlies (38-18) travel to Little Caesars Arena Thursday to take on the Detroit Pistons (12-42). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Grizzlies vs. Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Grizzlies come into this game after beating the Los Angeles Clippers 135-109 at home Tuesday. They’ve covered the spread in three straight games, six of their last seven and seven of their last 10.

The Grizzlies’ 37-19 against the spread (ATS) record is the best in the NBA. Memphis is led by G Ja Morant, who is the favorite for the Most Improved Player of the Year at Tipico Sportsbook.

The Pistons’ top scorer F Jerami Grant returned to the lineup Feb. 1 after being sidelined since Dec. 10. He’ll look to help a Detroit team that ranks 29th in points per game (102.1) and 29th in field goal percentage (42.0%).

The Pistons are 5-5 ATS over their last 10 games but are just 1-4 ATS over their last five. Detroit is 26-28 ATS on the season.

Grizzlies at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 114, Pistons 103

Money line

PASS on the money line.

No regular-season NBA favorite is worth betting -800 on the money line, especially one on the road. I also wouldn’t bank on an upset considering how well Memphis has been playing as of late.

Against the spread

BET the GRIZZLIES -10.5 (-115).

The Grizzlies have been far too good in almost every aspect of the game to bet against.

They’ll also have a significant rebounding edge as they rank first in offensive rebounding rate and the Pistons rank 24th in defensive rebounding. The Grizzlies also rank eighth in turnover rate, whereas the Pistons are 25th.

Memphis and the Phoenix Suns are the only two teams in the NBA that rank in the top seven in both offensive and defensive rating. The Grizzlies are the real deal and are 6-2 ATS as road favorites as well.

Lastly, Detroit has covered just one in its last game while Memphis is red hot and has covered six of its last seven. Considering all the edges the Grizzlies will have, their spread is the only way to play this battle.

Over/Under

BET on the UNDER 224.5 (-107).

The Pistons don’t have many playmakers and rank 29th in true shooting percentage. The Grizzlies, despite being efficient offensively, are still just 24th in true shooting, a metric that factors in three-point shooting as well.

While Memphis has been red hot offensively, the Pistons haven’t been, and that should play more of a factor.

They’ve scored fewer than 95 points in two of their last three games and have gone Under the projected total in three straight outings and in six of their last 10. Detroit is 10-12 O/U as a home underdog.

Memphis Grizzlies at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Memphis Grizzlies at Detroit Pistons NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Memphis Grizzlies (33-32) play theirsecond game of a three-game road trip against the Detroit Pistons (19-47) Thursday at Little Caesar Arena. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Grizzlies vs. Pistons odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Grizzlies opened the road trip with a 139-135 victory and narrow cover as 3.5-point favorites against the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday. The Over comfortably connected. Despite the cover, Memphis is still just 2-4 ATS across its past six outings.

The Pistons limp in on a four-game losing skid, and they have won just once in their previous eight outings while covering the spread twice in the past seven contests. The most consistent thing about Detroit has been the Under, which has gone 8-3-1 across its past 12 outings.

Grizzlies at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Grizzlies 118, Pistons 110

Money line (ML)

The Grizzlies (-400) will cost you four times your potential return, and it’s just not a good long-term betting strategy to pick heavy favorites like that.

AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

The PISTONS +9 (-110) are a good bet to keep it within single digits, even though they have a lengthy injury list. Detroit is a respectable 3-3 straight up in its last six home games, and 4-2 ATS during the span.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 222.5 (-110) is the slam-dunk play.

The Over is 4-1 in the past five for Memphis and 8-1 in its past nine as a road favorite. The Over is also 21-8 across the past 29 games on the road for the Grizz.

While the Under is the dominant trend for the Pistons, Memphis will be able to put up plenty of points.
