On Wednesday, 2025, in-state offensive tackle Griffin Rousseau from Stoughton High School took his first unofficial visit to the University of Wisconsin.
Recruiting department members Billy Lewis and Casey Rabach spent most of the day with the young OT during his visit.
“The unofficial visit was great; Coach [Billy] Lewis showed us around campus, got to see their weight room, academic facilities, and Camp Randall,” Rousseau told BadgersWire.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound OT was the only underclassman who attended Wisconsin’s football camp back in June.
Rousseau, who grew up a Badger fan, is very early in his recruiting process but acknowledges there is definitely mutual interest in UW.
“I’ve been a big fan of them [UW] since I moved to Stoughton in 2nd grade, and I think them inviting me on the visit shows interest in me as well,” Rousseau explained.
Just 15 years of age, he already has excellent size, strength, arm length, footwork, and technique, making him a high-upside tackle prospect in the 2025 recruiting class and a candidate to be among the top-ranked players in Wisconsin.

“Wisconsin is the first school I’ve had any real conversations with so far, but I have been able to work out in front of South Dakota State and Wyoming while they were at my school. I’m just excited to prove myself to everyone.”
Rousseau was the starting left tackle for the Vikings as a true freshman and is expected to take a huge step forward during his sophomore season.
It’ll be interesting to see if he follows in the footsteps of current Badgers offensive linemen Jack and Barrett Nelson, potentially continuing the already impressive pipeline of OL prospects to come out of Stoughton High School.
So far, Coach Chryst has only extended 11 scholarship offers in the 2025 recruiting class, one of which has gone to an in-state player – Tre Poteat (Verona).
Had a great time at Wisconsin today! I was the only upcoming Sophomore in a group of a lot of upcoming Seniors. Had some great conversations with @CoachBostadUW as well! Thank you for the invite @Coach_B_Lewis, and I hope to see a game this fall! pic.twitter.com/dBvK8Q54aP
