LSU makes top 10 for 2025 four-star cornerback

As of now, the Florida State Seminoles are way out ahead of all the other schools for Gregory Thomas.

One of the best cornerbacks in the 2025 recruiting class has narrowed his list of potential schools down to 10. LSU has made the cut. [autotag]Gregory Thomas[/autotag] is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound, four-star cornerback from Plantation, Florida.

The Tigers join Florida State, Colorado, Penn State, Texas A&M, Miami, West Virginia, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. As of now, the Florida State Seminoles are way out ahead of all the other schools. The Seminoles have received multiple Crystal Ball projections to land Thomas and they are also a 98% favorite to land him per On3.

LSU’s 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked as the No. 2 class in the country and currently has commitments from the No. 1 quarterback, wide receiver, and running back in the class. The Tigers are also favored to land the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the class.

There is currently one cornerback commitment in the class in [autotag]Jaboree Antoine[/autotag]. The Tigers have been thin at the cornerback position recently but Thomas could add much-needed depth.

2025 Florida cornerback prospect includes Vols in top 10

2025 Florida cornerback prospect includes Tennessee in top 10.

2025 cornerback prospect Gregory Thomas announced his top 10 schools.

Tennessee, Oklahoma, Florida State, LSU, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Colorado, Miami, Wisconsin and Penn State are Thomas’ top 10 schools.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound cornerback prospect is from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida.

Tennessee offered a scholarship to Thomas on Nov. 21, 2023. Western Kentucky was the first school to offer a scholarship to Thomas on May. 25, 2023, while Texas A&M was the first Southeastern Conference school to offer the 2025 prospect.

Wisconsin makes the final schools for one of 2025’s best cornerbacks

Wisconsin makes the final schools for one of 2025’s best cornerbacks

Wisconsin made the final 10 schools for class of 2025 cornerback Gregory Thomas on Tuesday.

The Badgers made the cut along with Penn State, Tennessee, Oklahoma, LSU, Florida State, Miami and Colorado. It should be noted Thomas currently has four crystal ball predictions to choose head coach Mike Norvell and Florida State.

The talented defensive back is 247Sports’ No. 111 player in the class of 2025, No. 13 cornerback and No. 16 recruit from his home state of Florida.

Wisconsin’s class of 2025 currently sits inside the nation’s top 10 with seven total commitments. It’s early in the process, and the Badgers are yet to receive a commitment from a blue-chip player in the class. Somehow flipping Thomas from Florida State would be a huge step in the right direction.

If Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell has one strength as a recruiter, it’s at cornerback. Fickell landed top defensive backs Amare Snowden and Jonas Duclona at the end of the 2023 cycle, that after only being the Badgers’ head coach for a few weeks. He also sent Sauce Gardner and Coby Bryant to the NFL while at Cincinnati, both after being largely unheralded recruits coming out of high school.

Fickell’s defense prioritizes defensive back play, and he’s shown an ability to recruit and develop the position. So maybe that pitch is enough to get Thomas to consider the Badgers.
