Enjoy the QBE Shootout? Here’s how you can play Tiburon Golf Club

Even if you can’t hit bombs like Nelly or drain clutch putts like Sahith, you can still play the course.

Naples, Florida and the Tiburon Golf Club played host to the 2022 QBE Shootout and it did not disappoint.

Sahith Theegala struggled through an oblique injury but buried a birdie putt when it mattered most to give him and partner Tom Hoge the one-stroke victory over Charley Hoffman and Ryan Palmer.

While it’s not the biggest purse of the year, Theegala and Hoge will both take home a cool $475,000.

In 2023, Tiburon will also host a PGA Tour Champions event, the Chubb Classic in February. In fact, Tiburon is the only golf facility to host LPGA, PGA Tour Champions and PGA Tour-sanctioned tournaments.

Tiburon is one of a handful of golf courses on the PGA Tour’s 2022-23 calendar that can be played – if you’re willing to pay up.

So even if you can’t quite play exactly like the pros, you can in this case at least play the same golf course.

10 best golf courses in England

Does the 2023 Open Championship host, Royal Liverpool, make the cut?

When it comes to golf courses in the United Kingdom, Scotland tends to get most of the glory. However, those who overlook English golf do so at their own peril, as England boasts some incredible courses – both along the coasts and inland.

With the 2023 British Open going to Royal Liverpool, Golfweek has put together a list of the best courses England has to offer.

More U.K. course rankings: 10 best courses in Scotland | Top 50 classic courses in Great Britain and Ireland | Top 50 modern courses in Great Britain and Ireland

These rankings come directly from the hundreds of Golfweek’s Best Raters for 2021 who continually evaluate courses and rate them based on our 10 criteria. They also file a single, overall rating on each course on a points basis of 1-10. Those overall ratings on each course are averaged to produce a final rating for each course. Only a handful of courses in the world achieve a rating above 9, and any course rated 7 or above presents a can’t-miss opportunity.

Picture of golf bags piled up in a Scotland airport is a sad sight to see

If you’re traveling internationally and looking to get in a round abroad, you may want to consider a rental set.

You thought the British Open ending the men’s major championship season was a bummer? Wait until you see this.

Domestic travel is bad enough these days in the United States with severely understaffed airlines leading to frequent flight delays, cancellations and of course, lost luggage. On the international scale it’s even worse, and one picture showed just how backed up high-traffic airports can be.

Just days after Cameron Smith won the British Open in epic fashion at the Old Course at St. Andrews, a pile of golf bags currently sits in the Edinburgh Airport, which is just 50 miles from the Home of Golf.

There’s a comfort that comes with playing with your own clubs, but if you’re traveling internationally this year and looking to get a round or two in abroad, you may want to consider a rental set.
