Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (43-38) and Portland Trail Blazers (33-48) meet Sunday to finish off their regular-season schedules. Tip-off from Moda Center is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Trail Blazers odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Golden State leads 2-1

Golden State covered as a 10.5-point road favorite in a 119-97 win at the Sacramento Kings Friday. The Warriors have won back-to-back games, 4 of their last 5 and 7 of their last 9 as they hope to climb into the 5th seed in the West. The Warriors need a win and a Los Angeles Clippers loss (at the Phoenix Sunday Sunday) to clinch the 5 seed. They could fall as far down as the 8 seed if things don’t go their way.

Portland covered as a 17-point road underdog in a 136-125 loss Saturday at the Clippers. Portland has lost 8 of its last 9, including a current 3-game slide. The Blazers have been eliminated from playoff contention and shut down star G Damian Lillard (a team-best 32.2 points per game) for the season a few weeks ago.

Warriors at Trail Blazers picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 110, Trail Blazers 98

Moneyline

AVOID.

A line as one-sided as this one (-1600) makes me think that the oddsmakers believe that the Warriors will play their best players, including Curry. The Warriors need this win — and a Clippers loss — if they want to claim the 5th seed. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they sat some starters and accepted the 6th seed. AVOID a play here. It’s far too risky.

Against the spread

LEAN TRAIL BLAZERS +16.5 (-110).

The Warriors are a terrible road team — with a 17-23 road record — and while this should be an easy win for the Warriors, especially if they play their starters, the Blazers are the safer bet to cover the spread.

The Warriors are only 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games, but they did cover as heavy favorites in Sacramento Friday.

Over/Under

While the O/U is off the board, I suggest to BET 1.3 UNITS on any UNDER of 214 or higher.

The Under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings between these 2 teams.

For Golden State, the Under is 5-2 in its last 7 and 4-0-1 in its last 5 Sunday games. For Portland, the Under is 12-4 in its last 16 Sunday games and 4-0 in its last 4 on the back-end of a back-to-back.

Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (28-26) will take on the Portland Trail Blazers (26-28) on Wednesday at Moda Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Warriors vs. Trail Blazers odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Warriors cruised to a 141-114 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday to cover as 3.5-point favorites at home. Golden State is on a 2-game winning streak and has gone 6-4 in its last 10 contests.

The Trail Blazers lost 127-108 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday while failing to cover as 4-point underdogs at home. Portland has lost 2 games in a row despite going 5-1 in the 6 games before that.

Golden State won the 1st meeting of the season 118-112 on Dec. 30 as 1-point home favorites while the Under 233.5 cashed.

Warriors at Trail Blazers picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 123, Trail Blazers 118

Moneyline

Even with Curry sidelined and Golden State’s woes on the road, the WARRIORS (+115) are where I’m headed. The Trail Blazers have played uninspiring basketball recently and they’ve become too reliant on G Damian Lillard to put up gaudy numbers to win.

Against the spread

If you aren’t comfortable taking Golden State to win straight up, WARRIORS +2.5 (-112) is how to wager on the spread. I’m expecting massive games from G Jordan Poole and G Klay Thompson with F Draymond Green orchestrating the offense.

The Warriors are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 meetings against the Trail Blazers. Portland is also 2-8 ATS in its last 10 games following a double-digit loss at home.

Over/Under

OVER 235.5 (-108) is the easy choice here with neither team having an elite defense. The Warriors are 15th in defensive rating, while the Trail Blazers are 27th in defensive rating this season.

Golden State is 5-1 to the Over in its last 6 games overall. The Over is also 16-5-1 in the last 22 meetings between these 2 teams in Portland.

Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Thursday’s Golden State Warriors at Portland Trail Blazers odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Golden State Warriors (42-17) kick off the final stretch of the season following the All-Star Break with a road game against the Portland Trail Blazers (25-34). Tip-off for Thursday’s game is 10 p.m. ET at Moda center. Below, we look at the Warriors vs. Trail Blazers odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Warriors are in second place in the Western Conference, trailing the Phoenix Suns by 6.5 games to start the second half of the season. They were fading a bit before the break, losing four of their final five games. G Stephen Curry is coming off a 50-point performance at the All-Star Game. He hit 16 three-point shots to set a record and win the All-Star Game MVP.

The Blazers are in 10th place in the West, which would earn them a spot in the play-in games for the postseason. They closed out the first half of the season winning four straight games following a six-game losing streak.

Warriors at Trail Blazers odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Trail Blazers 121, Warriors 118

Money line

The Warriors have won both matchups so far this season, but both games were in San Francisco. The Blazers are a different team at home than on the road. They are 16-16 at home as opposed to 9-18 away from home, while the Warriors are 16-11 on the road compared to 26-6 at home.

Golden State doesn’t get anyone back from injury that wasn’t already out before the break, so the issues they were having should linger.

The Blazers were playing well enough before the All-Star Game to warrant a bet on them to come away with an outright win. The payout is worth it to bet the TRAIL BLAZERS (+380).

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

The Warriors have not covered the spread in their last seven games and have failed to do so in eight of their last 10 contests. They are 12-13-2 ATS on the road this season. They won both games against the Blazers at home by double digits. Only four of their last 10 wins have been by double digits.

The Blazers are 15-16-1 ATS at home this season but closed out the first half of the season covering the spread in four straight. They were double-digit underdogs in all four games and won the games outright.

Take the TRAIL BLAZERS +9.5 (-122).

Over/Under

Take OVER 223.5 (-108).

The Warriors allowed 116.8 points per game over the final four games before the All-Star Game. They still will not have Green or Iguodala to help shore up the defense. Seven of the Warriors’ last 10 games have hit the Over.

Portland scored over 120 in their final two games before the break. They allowed 114.0 points per game in their last six.
