Report: Giants will sit Daniel Jones, start Colt McCoy vs. Browns

The Giants wanted to wait until players conducted a Saturday walkthrough before they made a decision on second-year quarterback Daniel Jones (ankle/hamstring), and that came on Saturday morning.
Despite being limited all week, the Giants have ultimately decided to sit Jones in Week 15 against the Browns, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
As recently as Friday. head coach Joe Judge was holding out hope Jones would be able to play.
In Jones’ absence, Colt McCoy will draw the start against his former team. The 34-year-old completed 13-of-22 passes for 105 yards, a touchdown, and a pick in Week 13’s victory at Seattle

Giants place James Bradberry on Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Giants will be without offensive coordinator Jason Garrett on Sunday night against the Browns after he tested positive for COVID-19.
But Garrett isn’t the only member of the Giants who will sit out on Sunday Night Football.
The team announced on Thursday that cornerback James Bradberry has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after coming into contact with a “high risk” person.
The Giants note that the contact came outside the organization and is unrelated to Garrett testing positive.
In Bradberry’s absence, the Giants will rely on Isaac Yiadom, Montre Hartage, Julian Love, and possibly Logan Ryan to stop Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense

Already hobbled Daniel Jones now has left ankle sprain

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones could barely move during a Week 14 game against the Cardinals as the result of a right hamstring injury, but that wasn’t his only issue.
During the course of taking nine QB hits and absorbing six sacks, Jones also suffered a sprained left ankle, leaving him with two bum wheels and no spare to rely on.
“We’re evaluating both equally. I wouldn’t say one is more of a concern than the other,” head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Wednesday, simply referring to the ankle sprain as a “lower leg” injury.
If Jones cannot go on Sunday night against Cleveland, expect veteran Colt McCoy — who started in Big Blue’s upset win at Seattle — to be under-center for the Giants

Report: Giants’ Daniel Jones avoids major injury, could play vs. Seahawks

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s win over the Bengals, but it seems he avoided a major injury.
Midway through the third quarter, Jones strained his hamstring on a throw. He was slow to get up and even though he tried to come back in, it was obvious he was in a lot of pain.
After getting an MRI on Monday morning, Jones avoided major injury and has an “outside chance” of playing against the Seahawks in Week 13, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
At the same time, ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported that the injury is likely to force Jones to miss some time. So this situation will be something to monitor while taking all the information with a grain of salt.
The first-place Giants have a big game coming up against the Seahawks. If Jones can’t play, veteran Colt McCoy will be the one to start in his place
