Giants at Eagles game notes
- As awful as both of these teams have been, the Eagles are only a half-game back of the first-place Dallas Cowboys thanks to their Week 3 tie with the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Giants are just one game back.
- The Eagles are 0-2-1 SU/0-3 ATS so far this season as a favorite, and 1-2 SU/2-1 ATS as an underdog. The Over has connected in two of their three games at ‘The Linc,’ and Philly’s offense is averaging 26.3 PPG across the past four games overall.
- Philadelphia has struggled taking care of the football, turning it over 12 times to rank second-to-last in the NFL. It has managed just four takeaways, ranking 28th in the league.
- The Giants picked up their first victory of the season in Week 6, winning 20-19 against the Washington Football Team, although they failed to cover a 2-point number. The Giants are 0-3 SU on the road, but a perfect 3-0 ATS.
- While New York’s offense has been abysmal, ranking last in the NFL in total yards per game at 275.3 and 31st with 16.8 PPG, the defense has kept it in most games. The G-Men are a respectable 12th in total yards allowed (342.0), and eighth against the rush (106.5) while yielding 25.3 PPG (16th).

Giants at Eagles: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction
Prediction
Eagles 20, Giants 17
Money line (?)
The Eagles (-223) will cost you more than two times your potential return. While the Giants (+185) have been horrific on offense, their defense makes them a risk to play against, especially since Philly hasn’t been terribly consistent. AVOID.
Against the spread (?)
The GIANTS +4.5 (-110) are a perfect 3-for-3 covering the number on the road this season. New York is also 19-7 ATS in the past 26 overall on the road, and an impressive 17-5 ATS in the past 22 as a road ‘dog. The Giants are always in the game because their defense keeps them within arm’s length of their opponents, at least against subpar teams.
In addition, the road team has hit in each of the past four meetings in this series, so that trend points to the G-Men being the play, too. The fact the Eagles -4 (-110) are going to be without two key members (Ertz and Sanders) on offense, also makes the G-Men a sharp play.
Over/Under (?)
The UNDER 44.5 (-110) is worth a roll of the dice here, even at a rather low number. The Under has hit in eight of the past 10 meetings in Philadelphia, and the Under has connected in eight of the past 10 at home for the Eagles.
