[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Giants (0-2) and the Cleveland Browns (1-1) meet for a Week 3 game Sunday. Kickoff at Cleveland Browns Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Giants vs. Browns odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Giants were on the short end of a historic loss in Week 2 at Washington. They’re the 1st team in NFL history to score 3 or more TDs, and allow none, and still lose in regulation. New York is averaging 12.0 points per game (PPG) in 2 games, while allowing 24.5 PPG. The Giants are 0-2 against the spread (ATS), while the Under has cashed in both outings.

The Browns were pounded by the visiting Dallas Cowboys in Week 1, falling 33-17 as a 2.5-point favorite. The defense bounced back in Jacksonville in Week 2, as Cleveland posted an 18-13 win as a 3-point underdog as the Under (41.5) connected.

This will be the 1st meeting between these teams since Dec. 20, 2020, a 20-6 road win for the Browns. The Giants won the most recent visit to Cleveland Nov. 27, 2016, winning 27-13. The Under has cashed in each of the past 2 meetings.

Giants at Browns picks and predictions

Prediction

Browns 23, Giants 12

Moneyline

The Browns (-300) will cost you 3 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward.

Cleveland has had trouble scoring this season, but the defense was much more buttoned up in Week 2 on the road than in the opener.

DE Myles Garrett is nursing a foot issue, which he suffered in Week 1, but he wasn’t on the injury report this week, and he said he expects to play through any pain. Expect Garrett to coax Giants QB Daniel Jones into at least one miscue. The difference in this game will be Jones struggling against the various confusing schemes of the Browns D.

PASS.

Against the spread

The BROWNS -6.5 (-110) are a much better play laying the points, especially if this stays under a flat 7 or higher.

The Browns got it together in Jacksonville on the road, playing a little more like the team we expected after laying an egg in the opener in front of the home fans. Expect Cleveland to put on a much better show in Week 3.

Over/Under

UNDER 38.5 (-110) is a rather low number, but it’s still a solid play.

The Under cashed last week for the Browns, and the total has gone low in both outings for the G-Men. New York’s defense did its job last week, forcing 7 field goals while allowing 0 TDs.

Look for the defenses to reign supreme in Week 3 for both sides.

First look: New York Giants at Cleveland Browns odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s New York Giants at Cleveland Browns Week 3 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The New York Giants (0-2) travel to meet the Cleveland Browns (1-1) at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Week 3 on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Giants vs. Browns odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

The Giants were belted 28-6 in Week 1 against the visiting Minnesota Vikings, not even coming close to a cover. In Week 2, New York managed to lose 21-18 to the Washington Commanders in a unique way. In fact, the Giants were the 1st team in NFL history to score 3 or more TDs in a single game without allowing a TD, while still losing in regulation.

The good news for the G-Men is that QB Daniel Jones was much better, with 2 TD throws, and no miscues, while rookie WR Malik Nabers went over 100 yards, and he looks like the real deal.

For the Browns, they grinded out an 18-13 road win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2 on the road after getting buried 33-17 by the Dallas Cowboys in the opener at home. The defense was strong yet again, allowing just 127 yards on the ground and 196 yards through the air, with one of those plays a 66-yard downfield breakdown in coverage.

New York Giants at Cleveland Browns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns preseason Week 2 matchup, with NFL odds, lines, picks, predictions and best bets.

The New York Giants (0-1) meet the Cleveland Browns (1-0) Sunday for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff at FirstEnergy Stadium. Below, we look at the Giants vs. Browns odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Giants were upended by the rival New York Jets in their preseason opener 12-7 in a defensive battle. Big Blue was only able to manage 58 passing yards and 105 rushing yards and their only score came from QB Clayton Thorson late in the fourth quarter.

The Browns went down to Jacksonville and topped the Jaguars 23-13, holding a 13-0 advantage at halftime and 16-0 lead through three quarters. The reserves gave up most of the production to Jacksonville after the game was already decided.

Giants at Browns odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Browns 22, Giants 16

Money line

The Browns (-220) will cost you more than two times your potential return and that’s too risky in a preseason affair.

AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The BROWNS -4.5 (-110) top units on the depth chart looked good on the road against the Jags last weekend while the G-Men were rather sluggish against the Jets. Expect to see a little more of the first unit for Cleveland, which is a good thing for bettors. Back the home side.

Over/Under

OVER 35.5 (-105) is the slight lean here although the Over was a risky play in Week 1 of the preseason. Defenses reigned supreme with the Under going 13-3.

However, the Browns were one of the more functional offenses, both at the top and bottom of the depth chart, last week. This won’t be a track meet but we should see a total in the higher 30s.

New York Giants at Cleveland Browns odds and lines: Browns big favorites at home

Looking at Sunday’s New York Giants at Cleveland Browns preseason game with NFL betting odds and lines.

The New York Giants will be on the road in Week 2 of the preseason, visiting the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium. Sunday’s kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Giants at Browns odds and lines.

The New York Jets beat the Giants in the preseason opener Saturday 12-7. QB Daniel Jones didn’t suit up for the Giants, nor did RB Saquon Barkley or WR Kenny Golladay, so the offense was understandably unimpressive at home against the Jets.

The Browns were impressive in their 23-13 win over the Jaguars. QB Kyle Lauletta threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on 27 attempts with WR Davion Davis catching four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Cleveland picked off QB Gardner Minshew once, too, with the quarterback completing only four of his eight passes.

New to NFL betting?

The Browns are big home favorites with a money line of -250. A $10 bet on the Browns to win outright only returns a profit of $4.00. So there isn’t much upside with that wager. They’re favored by 6.5 points, as well, so if they win by at least 7 points, a $10 wager on the Browns to cover would return a profit of $9.52.

The Giants are 6.5-point underdogs, which means in order to cover the spread, they must win or lose by six or fewer points. A $10 wager on the Giants to cover the spread pays out $8.70 in profit. On the money line, a $10 bet would return a profit of $20.

The Over/Under is 37.5 points, which means the Giants and Browns must combine for at least 38 points for the total to go Over. The Under will cash if they combine for 37 or fewer points. A bet on either the Over or Under returns a profit of $9.09.
