- The Yellow Jackets logged strong defensive efforts in winning each of their last two games. GTU downed Pitt Feb. 14 and Miami (Fla.) Saturday. Those games represent a bounce-back from a stretch that saw the Jackets go just 2-5 from Jan. 23-Feb. 12.
- Virginia Tech hasn’t played since Feb. 6. The Hokies’ last home game was an impressive win over Virginia Jan. 30. VTU held UVA to just 51 points in that battle. The Hokies lead the ACC in scoring defense at 65.6 points per game. At home, Virginia Tech is 9-1 and has won seven in a row.
- Georgia Tech is a solid shooting team on the season and especially of late. Over their last five games, the Yellow Jackets have connected on 50.7% of their looks from the field.
