Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart featured in Game of Zones finale

In the finale of the latest Game of Zones from Bleacher Report, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram had a hilarious cameo.

Bleacher Report’s Game of Zones posted its latest season finale on Thursday with a handful of New Orleans Pelicans featured in a cameo spot.

The seventh season of Bleacher Report’s creation has taken a different path from season’s past. With the NBA season on hold, the direction of the season focused on the media covering the game and the argument for the greatest player of all-time.

Running similar to the final season of Game of Thrones, the 1992 Dream Team took the role as the “White Walkers” attacking the NBA. The players eventually voted on a 2019-20 version of the Dream Team to save the league.

Unsurprisingly, the current players win the battle and James crowns himself as the greatest ever over Michael Jordan. During James’ victory speech to the rest of the league, he first begins by thanking his teammates.

At that moment, the camera cuts to the trio of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart in Pelicans colors with questioning faces. Obviously, the trio were teammates with James on the Lakers last season before being traded to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis.

The whole season of Game of Zones is a must-watch. Given the lack of activities to do during quarantine, watching this season one afternoon will be a treat.

Mystery Celtic revealed to be the true G.O.A.T. in final Game of Zones

Boston Celtics fans will be especially into the series finale of Game of Zones with its surprise twist at the end.

SPOILER ALERT, if you care about that sort of thing for Game of Zones.

Former Boston Celtic luminary Paul Pierce had himself quite the M. Night Shyamalan twist in his role as The Truth in the series finale of the popular Game of Thrones NBA parody series Game of Zones.

After an epic battle between the Dream Team and LeBron James Knights of the Round Ball in which James emerged victorious, it soon was revealed that Kyrie Irving’s destruction of the Media Dell had prevented most from even knowing the battle had occurred.

Meanwhile, an epic series of events transpired that would see Irving’s heel turn redeemed to Celtics fans in at least this universe after the usual bickering over what it means to be the G.O.A.T. in the first place.

A number of other Celtics made appearances — including notable claims to G.O.A.T.-ness from Bill Russell and another for Ser Jayson Tatum — along with several more former Boston players reprising their roles in the final installment of Game of Zones.

Be sure to watch the short in its entirety if you’re a Celtics fan; the ending is more than worth the wait.

Joel Embiid called out on Game of Zones for social media activity

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid was the focus of a joke in Game of Zones.

Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid is undoubtedly one of the best players in the league regardless of position. He is dominant in the post, he can take you off the dribble, and he is terrific on the defensive end of the floor as well.

However, he does have a penchant for going on to social media and talking trash to just about anybody who will listen. We have seen that on multiple occasions.

So, in Thursday’s episode of Game of Zones–which is a mashup of the NBA combined with the popular TV series, Game of Thrones–they decided to poke fun at Embiid for that. He is on a team full of other superstar players in order to take on the Dream Team led by Michael Jordan and during their team meeting, Doc Rivers said their players don’t get distracted by “social media ravens”.

The scene is in the early part of the episode and Embiid then looks a bit sheepish when Rivers brings it up. This is the final season of the popular TV series so it will be interesting to see what the big man does in the final episode. [lawrence-related id=31007,30999,30993]

More former, current Celtics at the center of new Game of Zones short

Yet again, current and former Boston Celtics figure prominently in the latest episode of the popular parody short “Game of Zones”.

Boston Celtics fans following the “Game of Zones” series of NBA-themed “Game of Thrones” parody that has taken on a life of its own are in for a double-helping this week, with an exceptionally long installment being released.

Imaginatively entitled “The Long Episode”, it has a strong showing of current and former Celtic characters yet again, with Doc Rivers taking control of the Media Dell-elected answer to the undead Dream Team, and Rick Carlisle serving as one of his assistant generals.

There’s also Jayson Tatum reprising his role as one of the principal Knights of the Round Ball, but the coup de grace is pitting Kyrie Irving in a undermine the defense of the Realm out of spite for not being included among the Round Ball elite and his general distaste for the media.

Watch the video yourself to catch all the Bostonian cameos within — and try not to get teary-eyed when a certain Celtics nemesis makes an unannounced appearance as well.

You’ll know him by the haircut.

‘We ride for Seattle’: Game of Zones puts basketball city back in spotlight

Game of Zones, the Bleacher Report video series combining the NBA and Game of Thrones, entered Seattle prior to a game with the Dream Team.

In a fictional world combining the NBA and Game of Thrones, Seattle basketball has made its return.

On episode three of Game of Zones, NBA stars entered the former home of the SuperSonics to take on the ultimate foe.

For those who have not yet watched the series: In the new season of Game of Zones, the Dream Team returned in their prime form to take on the stars of today in a battle to decide which generation is truly the best.

Though there are jokes and themes from the HBO hit Game of Thrones, even those who didn’t watch that show can appreciate the basketball-related humor and plot lines in Game of Zones.

In episode two, Adam Silver announced that the media has voted on a “super-super house” of the best players in the league and that the game would take place in Seattle.

On the episode released Thursday, the team entered Seattle, where they established battle plans, LeBron James got a visit from Kobe Bryant and stars snubbed from their team launched an attack against the media.

Below is the third episode of the season. The first two can be found on the Bleacher Report YouTube page as well.

New Game of Zones short features several former Boston Celtics players

Three former Boston Celtics make cameos in the new Game of Zones animated short.

By now, many of you have likely already seen the new “Game of Zones” animated short from Bleacher Report, the first of the seventh and what is supposedly the final season of the “Game of Thrones” NBA parody that has taken on a life of its own.

It seems winter is finally coming for this world, an apropos plague threatening the bedrock of NBA civilization, held back by the valiant efforts of a handful of vigilant members of the press corps and former NBA players turned color commentators.

Early in the short, for Celtics big man Shaquille O’Neal makes a cameo as a gatekeeper of sorts, giving Dwyane Wade some crap as he transitions from a player to media member.

There’s even some nuggets in there about the Wade-Paul Pierce Twitter debate raging a few months back that is made even better with a cameo from the Truth himself — in a most appropriate role for his nickname.

The vehicle of choice is also ideal.

Near the end, Jesus even makes an appearance — Shuttlesworth, that is; UConn product Ray Allen (or his likeness) appears as the God of Range.

It’s an excellent start to a joke that has somehow lived on to the point of becoming an NBA tradition, and a nice escape from our own siege of sorts in the form of the pandemic — give it a watch if you haven’t already.

WATCH: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum in new ‘Game of Zones’

The Jay Team are making waves in more worlds than ours in this new Bleacher Report NBA-themed parody of the popular fantasy series.

There’s even an arguably-deserved crack or two at Kyrie Irving in this gem, so watch the above video to see how Boston’s best fare in this fan favorite alternate reality.
