The Chargers interviewed Raiders offensive assistant Fred Walker for their quarterbacks coach position, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
Los Angeles let go of Shane Day, the team’s former quarterbacks coach when they also relieved former offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi.
L.A. filled its offensive coordinator vacancy with the hiring of Kellen Moore.
Before making the leap to the NFL and joining Las Vegas this past season, Walker served as the quarterbacks coach for UMass in 2021.
He’s previously worked with Giants quarterback Daniel Jones as an offensive assistant at Duke. Walker also worked with Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as an assistant at Mississippi State.
