Phillies fan easily bare-hands this 97 mph foul ball while holding an ice cream

Now this is just showing off!

Now this is just showing off! On Sunday, during the Philadelphia Phillies game against the New York Mets, a fan made the clear best play of the night with a foul ball snag of a lifetime.

Let’s break it down.

At the top of the seventh with the Mets at bat, Michael Conforto fouled a 0-2 pitch off of JoJo Romero into the left field stands. A forgettable play, if not for this Phillies fan that snagged the screaming foul ball bare-handed out of the air… with an ice cream in his other hand!

Talk about a heads up play, especially because, according to the broadcast, that ball had a 97 mph velocity coming off the bat.

What an individual effort, and absolutely one of the best bare-handed four ball catches we’ve seen in some time.
