According to Kim Jones of NFL Network, the New York Jets are placing former Michigan State RB Le’Veon Bell on the injured reserve due to a hamstring injury. Bell apparently suffered the injury during a 30-yard reception.

Le’Veon Bell will be eligible to come off of the injured reserve for the Oct. 11 game against the Cardinals.

There were reports in late August that Bell left practice due to ‘hamstring tightness’ but Bell was quick to dismiss said reports.

Against Buffalo, Bell carried the ball six times for 14-yards and had two receptions for a total of 32-yards. Hopefully, he can recover swiftly from this injury and return to the field. Bell has worked hard to come back this season in tip-top shape.

The Oakland Raiders are cutting former Michigan State DT Mike Panasiuk among other players in order to reach the 53-man roster limit. Panasiuk originally signed with the Raiders as a Free Agent after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Here is confirmation via Twitter from NFL writer Bill Williamson:

Mike Panasiuk was a very productive Defensive Tackle at Michigan State, ending his career with 95 total tackles and five sacks. According to Bill Williamson, there is still a chance for Panasiuk to end up on the Raider’s practice squad. Let’s hope this keeps the door cracked open for Panasiuk to somehow make it onto the team this season.
