Tennessee’s Angus Pence records one hit against Boone.

Tennessee redshirt freshman Angus Pence went 1-for-4 in Forest City’s 6-2 victory against the Boone Big Foots in a Coastal Plain League Tuesday.

Pence recorded one RBI and one run for the Owls. Forest City is 5-0 during the second half of the season.

Pence was a leadoff hitter and played leftfield against Boone. He has recorded a .400 batting average during the second half of the season.

He redshirted in 2022 at Tennessee.

Pence was an all-state shortstop at Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee, winning the 2019 TSSAA Class AAA state championship.

Pence has played second base, shortstop, third base and left field for Forest City.

He has appeared in 21 games, recording 16 hits, four doubles, eight RBIs and seven runs.

Tennessee’s Angus Pence went 1-for-4 for Forest City in its 13-1 Coastal Plain League victory against the Macon Bacon Thursday.

Pence, who redshirted at Tennessee in 2022, started at second base Thursday.

In 18 games with Forest City (12-16), Pence has recorded a .238 batting average, totaling 15 hits, four doubles, six runs and eight RBIs.

He has six hits in his last six games for the Owls.

Pence came to the Vols from Farragut High School (Farragut, Tennessee). He earned all-district honors for the Admirals, who won the TSSAA Division 1 Class 3A state championship in 2019.

Pence, a shortstop for the Admirals, has played second base, third base and shortstop for Forest City.

Forest City plays at Lexington County (10-16) Friday at 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Pence is from Farragut High School (Farragut, Tennessee) and redshirted at Tennessee in 2022.

Pence went 1-for-4, totaling one RBI and one run in Forest City’s 12-8 loss to the Martinsville Mustangs Saturday. He started at third base.

The Owls did not play Sunday. Forest City will play Monday against the Asheboro Zookeepers.

First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Pence has played in 14 games for Forest City, recording a .245 batting average, 12 hits, five runs, seven RBIs and three doubles.

Pence is competing for the Forest City Owls in the Coastal Plain League. Forest City is located in Forest City, North Carolina.

Pence is a 2021 graduate of Farragut High School (Farragut, Tennessee). Farragut won the 2019 TSSAA Division I Class AAA state championship.

In 11 games for the Owls, Pence is batting .256. He has recorded three doubles, five RBIs and three runs.

Forest City is 4-8 and in sixth place in the CPL West division. The CPL is a college summer league and uses wood bats.

The majority owner of the Owls is Knoxville business man Phil Dangel.
