The Miami Dolphins are a lot more than just a football team to a lot of people. Thanks to the many charitable efforts of the organization, the Dolphins are a constant catalyst for good in the South Florida community — often providing positive impacts to those in need. One such example is the efforts of the Miami Dolphins Food Relief Program, which was announced on June 1, 2020 as an initiative to help combat food insecurity in the region.
The Dolphins’ objective with the program is to donate 1,000 meals a day, six days a week for the next year.
Thus far, the Dolphins are making good on that promise. Dolphins SVP of Communications and Community Affairs Jason Jenkins recently spotlighted a few of these efforts in action, calling attention to the Dolphins’ efforts on multiple fronts — including teaming up with Black-owned businesses in the region to help allocate meals to meet the demand of their lofty goals.

The Dolphins were named the NFL’s “Huddle for 100” winner this winter for a reason: they simply walk the walk and are actively engaged in making South Florida a better place. When it comes to off the field initiatives, the Dolphins are the cream of the crop — and continue to set the bar high for the league’s other 31 franchises.
