In the second week of the Wisconsin spring high school football season, four-star Wisconsin signee Braelon Allen led his Fond du Lac Cardinals to a 56-21 victory over the Neenah Rockets on Thursday night.

Allen made explosive plays on both sides of the ball for the Cardinals including a huge hit up the middle. He racked up eight total tackles and two pass deflections on defense.

On the offensive side of the ball, Allen rushed for 138 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries including an insane 54-yard touchdown run. The explosive 54-yard touchdown is currently nominated for play of the week by Fox 11 News in Green Bay, Wis. The Wisconsin signee was also able to snag a touchdown reception downfield. What can’t Braelon Allen do?

The Fond du Lac, Wis. native spoke to Rachel Hopmayer of WGBA after the game about the likely move to inside linebacker at Wisconsin. He also mentions in the interview that he wants to try and get more film of himself this season for the Badgers coaching staff to evaluate his best positional fit.

A top Wisconsin commit will not be playing high school football this fall

News has poured in recently about the fall football season both in high school and in college.

The Big Ten and Pac-12 won’t be playing this fall, the SEC, ACC and Big 12 will play, the high schools of top Wisconsin target Nolan Rucci and Wisconsin commits Darryl Peterson and Jack Pugh will play. There isn’t a unified decision about a fall season at every level of the sport.

Well, earlier this week Fond Du Lac High School–home of top Wisconsin 2022 commit Braelon Allen–announced that the county had “shut down high risk sports until October 1” and that they “have no choice but to pursue the Spring option as a football program.”

For Allen who is still a few years away from graduating this news may not be as significant as it is for those set to graduate this spring. Nevertheless, the decision still affects everyone involved and will undoubtably alter the path to the next level for everyone, including Allen.

He is currently ranked by 247Sports as the No. 126 player in the class of 2022, the No. 8 player at his position and the No. 3 player from his home state of Wisconsin.

Here’s what Fond Du Lac Head Coach Steve Jorgensen had to say about the announcement:
