Florida father punches 63-year old umpire at son’s high school game

The umpire’s name has not been released, but he is reportedly 63 years old.

Forty-one-year-old Jorge Ignacio Aponte-Gonzalez struck an umpire over an argument during his son’s baseball game at Liberty High School in Kissimmee, according to an account by the New York Post.

Osceola County Sheriff Marco Lopez says Aponte-Gonzalez’s son was being disruptive and was chastised by the umpire, which led to the confrontation.

“The umpire is obviously going to maintain control of the game… Because that is what they are there to do. To make sure kids learn all about sportsmanlike conduct… The kid was being disruptive, so the umpire’s like, ‘Hey, tone it down,’ maintaining control, They went back and forth a little bit. I don’t know exactly what was exchanged, but… that is what upset the father.”

You can see video of the assault on the Facebook page for the Osceola County Sheriff’s office here.

The umpire’s name has not been released, but he’s reportedly 63. The father is facing battery charges.

Florida man, 77, punches friend, 84, in the face during round of golf at The Villages

The Villages bills itself as “Florida’s Friendliest Retirement Hometown.”

The Villages bills itself as “Florida’s Friendliest Retirement Hometown,” but things weren’t so friendly at De La Vista Golf Course recently.

A golf outing between two friends turned violent when Richard Randell, 77, allegedly punched his 84-year-old playing partner in the face, leading to an arrest on a charge of battery on a person 65 years or older, according to Sumter County deputies.

Randell later entered a plea of not guilty, according to court documents filed in late May.

According to the arrest affidavit, the skirmish happened April 29. Deputies say a third member of the golf outing witnesses Randell and the other man arguing on the fourth hole. The man says it wasn’t uncommon for the two to bicker.

As things escalated, the 84-year-old man flipped off Randell, who then said: “Do that again, and I will hit you,” according to the affidavit. The friend did it again and Randell reportedly then punched the man in the face.

The 84-year-old fell to the ground and deputies say he then had to be taken to the hospital, where it was reported he had a bruise on his face.

This Florida Man captured an alligator in a recycling bin and successfully won the internet

Florida Man >>>>>

This has to be one of the greatest Florida Man stories in the history of Florida Man stories. It just has to be.

We’ve seen some wild things go down in Florida, but I don’t know if we’ve ever seen anything quite like this. This man — in his slides and socks — somehow successfully captured an alligator that was in his yard by using … a recycling bin.

A recycling bin, y’all. You cannot make this up. I wouldn’t believe it myself if I hadn’t seen the footage.

A live alligator in your yard has to be absolutely terrifying. But, clearly, not for this guy. He handled the gator like an absolute champ.

That’s just incredible, man. The mettle. The resolve. Just amazing stuff. The internet absolutely loved it.
