The following statement is courtesy of the Notre Dame athletic department in regards to the 2021 ACC Fencing Championships:
NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame fencing team will not travel to Chapel Hill this weekend to defend its titles at the 2021 ACC Championships.
The decision was made out of an abundance of caution following positive tests, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the team. The program is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com (full report).
