Former Tennessee pitcher Andrew Lindsey makes professional debut.

Former Tennessee pitcher Andrew Lindsey made his professional debut on July 31.

Lindsey started for FCL Marlins in a 4-1 loss versus FCL Nationals. He pitched 2.0 innings, recording one strikeout, while allowing one earned run and two hits.

The Florida Complex League is a rookie-level Minor League Baseball league.

Lindsey was selected by Miami in the fifth-round of the 2023 MLB draft with the No. 146 overall pick.

He played at Tennessee in 2023 after transferring from Charlotte.

Lindsey (3-4) appeared in 21 games, including nine starts, with the Vols. The former Vol recorded a 2.90 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 71.1 innings.

Tennessee advanced to the College World Series in 2023.
