Aubameyang scored twice to give Arsenal the FA Cup, then promptly broke the trophy

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored two beautiful goals, then appeared to break the trophy in two and drop it.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the undisputed man of the match in Saturday’s FA Cup final between Chelsea and Arsenal, as the Gunners’ attacker scored both goals for his team in the 2-1 win.

He also had arguably an even more memorable moment after the match was over. Aubameyang was handed the trophy to lift it with his team as both the captain of the side and the man of the match, and was carrying it over to his teammates to do the thing where they triumphantly lift it over their heads.

He never got to do that, however, because he dropped the trophy before he even got there, and appeared to break it clean in two in the process.

With his teammates audibly howling with laughter, Aubameyang gently tried to put the trophy back together, before lifting it up. Then, ever so gently, and using a hand to support the base of the cup, he lifted it over his head as the confetti went everywhere.

Here are Aubameyang’s two goals to see as well:
