Boston Celtics have reportedly signed Ron Harper Jr. to an Exhibit 10 deal

If he can continue to add to his game and develop his 3-point shot, Harper could make a lot of sense as a Boston developmental project.

The Boston Celtics have signed free agent small forward Ron Harper Jr. to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to recent reporting from the Athletic’s Jared Weiss. Per Weiss, “Harper has shown progress with the summer league team after returning from shoulder surgery.”

Son of Los Angeles Lakers luminary Ron Harper, the younger Ron played his college ball at Rutgers, going unselected in the 2022 NBA draft. He would then sign with the Toronto Raptors as a two way player, with whom he played parts of two seasons playing for the Raptors 905 at the G League level. Harper has struggled a bit at the NBA level, but has shown flashes in the G League, where he has averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

If he can continue to add to his game and develop his 3-point shot, Harper could make a lot of sense as a Boston developmental project.

Celtics reportedly sign Cleveland State forward Tristan Enaruna to Exhibit-10 deal

Enaruna put up 19.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and nearly a block per game in his final season with Cleveland State.

The Boston Celtics are reportedly filling out their 2024 Las Vegas Summer League roster with an eye towards perhaps landing a two way spot with the parent club or perhaps a spot with the Maine Celtics.

According to Draft Express Dot Com’s Jon Chepkovich, “Cleveland State’s Tristan Enaruna has agreed to an Exhibit-10 deal with the Boston Celtics.” An intriguing talent that would not have turned heads had Boston taken him at No. 54, Chepkovich adds that the “Dutch forward boasts an NBA-caliber physical/athletic profile at (6-foot-8 and one-quarter inch with a 7-foot-1) wing span and a (38-inch max vertical leap)”.

Enaruna put up 19.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and nearly a block per game in his final season at the NCAA level with Cleveland State, shooting 32.2% from beyond the arc, 49.8% overall, and 72.1% from the free throw line.

Thunder sign Sacha Killeya-Jones to Exhibit 10 deal, per HoopsHype

Sacha Killeya-Jones will have until the start of the season to earn a two-way spot on the team.

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed Sacha Killeya-Jones to an Exhibit 10 deal, per HoopsHype NBA insider Michael Scotto.

Killeya-Jones went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft out of Kentucky and has spent the last two seasons playing overseas ball. Killeya-Jones recently played with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2022 summer league.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year minimum salary deal that could be converted into a two-way contract before the start of the 2022-23 season. If that were to happen, Killeya-Jones would likely take Eugene Omoruyi’s spot on the roster.

The 23-year-old will likely have training camp and preseason to show the Thunder if he’s worth keeping around when the season kicks off in October.
