The Colorado Buffaloes have a lot of talent coming to Boulder in the next few years, and things will only get better if head coach Deion Sanders can continue to win on the recruiting front. Additions such as four-star quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. in the class of 2025 certainly help.
Class of 2024 CU commit Eric Brantley is one of the most exciting players in next year’s class, and the defensive end has been on a roll in his final high school season. On Oct. 20, the Georgia prospect had a career-high 15 tackles and recorded his 10th sack of the year as his Valdosta Wildcats topped Camden County (h/t Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede).
What Brantley has been doing in his senior season has been out of this world, and his stats are nearly unbelievable. Here are his numbers so far this season, per MaxPreps.
- 79 total tackles (60 solo)
- 28 tackles for a loss
- 10 sacks
- 1 interception
- 8 carries for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns
- 2 receptions for 44 yards and 1 touchdown
Yes, Brantley has been tearing it up on defense and has three touchdowns on offense this season. And, after beating Camden County, Brantley was named Valdosta’s Defensive Player of the Week.
Congrats to Eric Brantley for being the defensive player of the week vs Camden! #DATE pic.twitter.com/Phhqei7xyS
