‘ManningCast’ wins another Sports Emmy award

Peyton Manning’s popular ‘ManningCast’ has won an Emmy Award in each of its first three seasons, and it’s set to return for Year 4 in 2024.

The awards keep coming for “ManningCast,” the popular Omaha Productions alternate broadcast of “Monday Night Football” games on ESPN2.

The NFL program is hosted by Peyton Manning and his brother, Eli, a fellow two-time Super Bowl champion. Last week, the “ManningCast” took home a Sports Emmy award for Outstanding Live Series.

This is not the first Emmy the program has received recognition. After the first season, the “ManningCast” also won in the Outstanding Live Series category. Following the second season, Peyton won an Emmy for “Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst.”

The show’s popularity is likely to increase in 2024 after Peyton successfully recruited Bill Belichick to join the program as a recurring guest. The show is under contract with ESPN for a fourth season in 2024 with Peyton and Eli set to serve as commentators for 10 games again this fall.

After winning three Emmy awards in its first three seasons, the “ManningCast” is likely due for another extension from ESPN.

Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson win Emmy award for 2022 schedule release video

The Broncos won four Emmy awards from the National Academy of Televisions Arts & Sciences Heartland Chapter earlier this week.

The Denver Broncos were the recipients of four Emmy awards from the National Academy of Televisions Arts & Sciences Heartland Chapter in the digital and broadcast content category earlier this week.

Here is a list of the awards and productions that won these prestigious awards.

Entertainment – Short Form Content-2022 NFL schedule release video

The 2022 schedule release video was the second of Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning’s three appearances (to date). In the video, Manning trains the new “intern,” now-quarterback Russell Wilson. Fellow Hall of Famer John Elway and former head coach Nathaniel Hackett also cameoed in the production.

Sports: One-Time Special-Demaryius Thomas: The Heart of a Legend

Late Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas was honored by the franchise with a documentary featuring former teammates and his place in the record books of Denver history.

Sports Promotion: Single Spot-Brand Anthem

In preparation for the beginning of the season, the Broncos made a 90-second hype video for fans to get excited. Unfortunately, the team performed worse than the video did, finishing with a dismal 5-12 record.

Program Promotion: Single Spot-Steve Atwater: The Road to Canton

As part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2020, the Broncos honored former safety Steve Atwater with a first-person perspective of his career. From the draft to receiving a gold jacket, the Denver media team scored a touchdown with this production.

The off-field accolades are well-deserved. Now Broncos fans will hope to see the team compete for on-field awards this season.

Eli Manning had a funny reaction to Peyton Manning winning an Emmy Award

Congrats to Peyton Manning for winning an Emmy Award for his work on the ‘ManningCast’ last season!

Peyton Manning’s broadcasting career is off to a great start.

The former quarterback won an Emmy Award on Monday in the “Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst” category. The award was given in recognition of Peyton’s work on the ManningCast, ESPN’s alternate broadcast of select Monday Night Football games.

Peyton and his younger brother, Eli, commentate on select MNF games each season as part of the ManningCast, but only Peyton won an Emmy this year. Eli then took to Twitter with a funny tweet to troll his brother for the award.

“I did not know you could win an Emmy for just telling fans when coaches should call timeout,” Eli tweeted on Monday evening.

Eli, of course, was referencing when Peyton was visibly frustrated when former Denver Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett opted not to call a timeout late in the team’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks last year.

Hackett’s decision ended up backfiring and Peyton’s reaction went viral on social media. That moment undoubtedly helped the ex-QB’s Emmy odds.

Congrats to Manning, who continues to win everywhere he goes.
