2024 4-star interior offensive lineman names his final 8

LSU’s 2024 recruiting class is starting to shape up very nicely, and the Tigers are in the running for another blue-chip player.

LSU’s 2024 recruiting class is starting to shape up very nicely. The Tigers currently have 22 overall commits and their class is ranked as the No. 10 team in the country by 247Sports and On3.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] is not done going after great players as he has LSU’s name in the hat for a four-star interior offensive lineman who just released his final eight list. LSU joins Clemson, South Carolina, Missouri, UCF, Georgia Tech, Duke and Florida on Elyjah Thurmon’s list of finalists.

Thurmon is a 6-foot-3, 285-pound, four-star interior offensive lineman from Hinesville, Georgia, where he plays for Bradwell Institute. The Bradwell Institute Tigers finished the 2022 season 1-9 and failed to make the 5A playoffs.

There are no Crystal Ball projections for Thurmon, but Florida is a 42% favorite to land him per On3. If Kelly is able to pull Thurmon away from Florida, Thurmon will be the 23rd overall commit of the class.

4-star offensive line target has Clemson in his top 8

Four-star offensive line target’s top eight revealed, with Clemson making the cut.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers have built a strong 2024 recruiting class so far, as Clemson remains one of the most consistent recruiters in college football.

Though Swinney and his staff have done an excellent job recruiting, they have struck out on most of their 2024 offensive line targets. Four-star interior offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon is a remaining target, who recently revealed his top eight choices, including Clemson. The Tigers will compete with Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, Missouri, UCF, and South Carolina for his commitment.

According to On3’s recruiting rankings, Thurmon is the No.15 IOL and the No.253 player in the class. We now wait for Thurmon’s next announcement.

OL Elyjah Thurmon reacts to ‘amazing’ Bayou Splash offer

Elyjah Thurmon was one of the first players to receive an offer during a busy recruiting weekend.

One of the busiest recruiting weekends of the year for LSU is underway as it has a star-studded visitor list in town for Bayou Splash.

Among the players in attendance from the 2024 class was four-star Georgia offensive lineman [autotag]Elyjah Thurmon[/autotag], who picked up an offer from the Tigers on Friday while in Baton Rouge.

Florida is considered the favorite to land Thurmon, but perhaps the LSU offer will change things. He told On3’s Billy Embody (subscription required) that the offer was “amazing.”

Thurmon also offered high praise of offensive line coach [autotag]Brad Davis[/autotag].

He’s camped with quite a few schools this summer, and he told On3 that he plans to trim his list down on Aug. 1 or 2.

LSU currently has just two offensive linemen committed in the 2024 class and only one interior player.

LSU offers 2024 4-star offensive lineman from Georgia

Florida is the favorite for Elyjah Thurmon, but perhaps an offer from the Tigers will change things.

This weekend is a huge weekend for LSU football recruiting.

The Bayou Splash is going on in Baton Rouge, and most of [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag]’s top prospects are in attendance. One of the first guys to receive a scholarship offer at the event was [autotag]Elyjah Thurmon[/autotag].

Thurmon is a 6-foot-3, 265-pound, four-star offensive lineman from Hinesville, Georgia, where he plays for Bradwell Institute. The Bradwell Institute Tigers finished last season 1-9 and failed to make the 5A playoffs in Georgia.

Thurmon does not have any Crystal Ball projections at this time but Florida is a 42% favorite per On3.

4-star Peach State OL announces Clemson offer

Swinney and the Tigers offer a four-star 2024 OL target.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff have had a rough time recruiting offensive linemen in the 2024 class. However, they are still pursuing linemen in the class.

The latest news out of recruiting on the offensive line came from Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA) 2024 four-star interior offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon who announced Tuesday that he has received an offer from the Tigers. Clemson became his 13 total offer.

According to 247Sports composite rankings, Thrumon ranks as the No.25 IOL and the No.407 overall recruit in the 2024 class. The young lineman currently has no crystal ball predictions meaning Clemson has a strong chance to jump into the race and get Thurman’s commitment.

Gators the first Power Five program to offer this 2024 OL

The Gators couldn’t let 2024 interior offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon leave town without an offer after he wowed everyone at Friday Night Lights.

Florida’s recruiting staff was busy at Friday Night Lights. Several players left town with a scholarship offer in hand and one of them was interior offensive lineman [autotag]Elyjah Thurmon[/autotag], a relatively unknown prospect out of the Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, Georgia.

Until the Gators offered, Thurmon had only received offers to play at a Group of Five schools. Troy, UT Chattanooga and USF are among his recent offers, but Florida’s interest should propel him onto a few more Power Five recruiting boards.

This was Thurmon’s second time visiting UF, and leaving with an offer in hand has him high on the orange and blue, according to Swamp247.

“The atmosphere and everything and competition was great,” Thurmon said. “Walking out with the offer that I got, everything was great. I met after the camp and they told me I had an offer back in the locker room. We spoke for a bit about my performance and that I had my first power five offer. I had already been there before back in the early part of June when I stopped by for the first time. It was good competition then. Going back, the competition got a little bit better and I was able to show what I can do.”

With a year left in his recruitment, Thurmon is in no hurry to make a decision. His hard work paid off in the form of an offer from UF and more options could pop up in the coming year. The good news is that Florida’s educational rankings are a big draw for Thurmon and should help keep them at the top of his list.

Neither 247Sports nor On3 have a ranking for Thurmon just yet, but that could change now that the Gators have shown interest. At 6-foot-5-inches tall and 250-pounds, he certainly has the physical potential to play on the line in the SEC.
