‘Rise & Grind’ with Elle Brooke, Paige VanZant ahead of potential Misfits Boxing rematch

Go behind the scenes of Paige VanZant’s Misfits Boxing title shot against fellow OnlyFans star Elle Brooke.

After a split draw in her return to competitive combat sports earlier this year, [autotag]Paige VanZant[/autotag] hoped for a rematch against [autotag]Elle Brooke[/autotag].

Misfits Boxing might be on board with it, too. The promotion seemed to be in the immediate aftermath of MF & DAZN: X Series 15 in Houston, where VanZant and champ Brooke each got a 48-46 score in the five-round fight. A third judge scored the bout a 47-47 draw.

The fight was VanZant’s first combat sports outing since a unanimous decision loss in a bareknuckle boxing bout against Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19 in July 2021. Although she has been competitive in her last four outings across MMA, boxing and bareknuckle, VanZant has not won a fight since she submitted Ostovich in January 2019 in the UFC. She tried her hand, literally, at Power Slap recently and picked up a win.

Brooke is a social media influencer and OnlyFans model who crossed over into boxing. VanZant took the opposite route, but has said in recent months that she made more money in 24 hours on OnlyFans than she did in her entire UFC career, which spanned nine fights over around six years.

While a rematch isn’t official, the social media stars are part of a third episode of OnlyFans TV’s “Rise & Grind,” which looks back at their fight in Houston. Look back at the first fight behind the scenes in the video from OnlyFans TV.

Paige VanZant planning on Elle Brooke rematch for Misfits Boxing in London

After a split draw in her return, Paige VanZant appears to be on board with a rematch later this year against Elle Brooke.

After a split draw in her return to competitive combat sports Saturday, [autotag]Paige VanZant[/autotag] appears to be on board with a rematch later this year against [autotag]Elle Brooke[/autotag].

Brooke retained her Misfits Boxing middleweight title in the MF & DAZN: X Series 15 main event at NRG Arena in Houston. Brooke and VanZant each got a 48-46 score in the five-round fight. A third judge scored the bout a 47-47 draw.

While the talk immediately after the fight was on a potential rematch in Dubai, on Sunday VanZant posted on social media an August timeline for a rematch – but on Brooke’s U.K. home turf at The O2 in London, which Misfits Boxing reposted.

Separately, VanZant said she’ll be moving forward planning on a second fight with Brooke, who dropped her in the first round and landed several other big punches in the fight.

“Obviously, we didn’t get the result that we predicted last night,” VanZant said in a video posted to Instagram. “I really thought that I did enough at the end. My whole team thought we did enough. I think a lot of people did. The judging: a little bit nuts.

“But it looks like it sets up the perfect rematch. I’ve just got to go on her turf and take the belt there. So I’ll see all of you guys in London. … I’m just waiting for the bruise to heal, but should be back to camp and I’m excited. Let’s do this one more time.”

MF & DAZN: X Series 15 results: Paige VanZant knocked down early by Elle Brooke, rallies for split draw

Elle Brooke scored an early knockdown, but UFC vet Paige VanZant bounced back to earn a split draw in the MF & DAZN: X Series 15 main event.

UFC veteran [autotag]Paige VanZant[/autotag] hit the canvas early, but rallied to leave the judges unable to determine a winner in the MF & DAZN: X Series 15 main event vs. Elle Brooke.

The middleweight boxing bout at NRG Arena in Houston went the full five rounds, but VanZant was in trouble in the first round after Brooke dropped her with a solid punching combination punctuated with a sharp right hand. After the final bell, dueling 48-46 scores were submitted, while the third judge scored the fight 47-47, resulting in a split draw.

VanZant recovered and did her best to erase the memory of touching the canvas. Over the next four rounds, “12 Gauge” pressed forward, weathering a few more big punches from Brooke.

Two judges were split in determining a winner, while the third saw the fight even. As a result, the split draw allows Brooke to retain her Misfits middleweight title.

“It is what it is. It sets up the perfect rematch,” VanZant said during her in-ring post-fight interview. “… It looks like we’re going to do it one more time, I think in Dubai, it sounds like.”

Brooke wasn’t upset at the result, although she thought her early knockdown would have given her the nod. Regardless, she’s excited about the potential “big money” rematch in the near future.

The fight was VanZant’s first combat sports outing since a unanimous decision loss in a bareknuckle boxing bout against Rachael Ostovich at BKFC 19. Although she has been competitive in her last four outings across MMA, boxing and bareknuckle, VanZant has not recorded a win since submitting Ostovich when they met in the UFC in 2019.
