The more you stand out on Dana White’s Contender Series, the better your chances of landing a UFC contract, and few competitors in the history of the series have left an impression like [autotag]Ignacio Bahamondes[/autotag] did on Wednesday.
The 23-year old out welterweight of Chile was handily winning his fight with [autotag]Edson Gomez[/autotag] on the card from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, before he put an exclamation point on things.
Bahamondes (11-3) knocked Gomez cold with a front kick, sending him crashing back with a leg bent backwards. That ended things at the 2:31 mark of the second round.
That’s the second straight win for Bahamondes and his eight career knockout.
