The Eagles hired Nick Sirianni to be their new head coach and he is steadily putting his coaching staff together.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Philadelphia is interviewing Chargers offensive coordinator Shane Steichen for the same role.
Steichen was the interim offensive coordinator in 2019 before earning a full-time job this past season. He was the one who called the plays during quarterback Justin Herbert’s phenomenal rookie season.
There’s some familiarity between Steichen and Sirianni as the two were together on the Bolts’ coaching staff from 2014 to 2017.
With the Chargers, Sirianni was a quality control coach, quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach.
