On Thursday night, it was announced that former UCLA and New Mexico basketball player Drew Gordon passed away due to a car accident.

Gordon is the older brother of Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon. He played two seasons at UCLA before playing his final two college seasons at New Mexico.

He spent a brief time in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers before playing overseas, and he passed away at the young age of 33. Fans mourned the loss of Gordon, and even though he was at UCLA for not even two full seasons, Bruins fans remembered him well.

It has been an unfortunate week for UCLA. On Memorial Day, UCLA legend Bill Walton passed away after a long battle with cancer. On Thursday night, former Bruins basketball payer Drew Gordon passed away at the age of 33 after being involved in a car accident, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Drew Gordon has passed away in a car accident at 33 years old. Gordon played nine games for the 76ers in the 2014-15 season and has played professionally in US and abroad since college ball at New Mexico and UCLA. Drew is the older brother of Nuggets F Aaron Gordon. RIP.

Gordon is the older brother of Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon. Drew spent time playing college basketball at UCLA and New Mexico before a brief stint in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, and then he went overseas to play professionally.

Gordon began his UCLA career in 2008-2009 and then played just six games in the 2009-2010 season before deciding to transfer.
