Carson Wentz hits Miles Sanders for TD on a perfect swing pass

In the Eagles loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Carson Wentz had two throws soar on him that could have changed the outcome of the ballgame had Miles Sanders been able to run freely after making the catch.

On Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, a confident Carson Wentz redeemed himself, hitting Sanders in stride on a perfect place swing pass that led to a 15-yard touchdown for the rookie running back.

Wentz has now thrown at least one TD in 14 straight games, the third-longest streak in Eagles history per Rueben Frank.

Eagles inactives vs. Dolphins: Zach Ertz active and will play against Miami

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz to play vs. the Miami Dolphins

The Philadelphia Eagles received some good news during warmups in Miami, as the team announced that Zach Ertz will indeed play despite a hamstring injury.

Ertz was listed as questionable for most of the week and finished the Seahawks game with one of his top performances despite tweaking his hamstring.

Jordan Howard hasn’t been cleared for contact since suffering an injury to his shoulder back in Week 9 and will miss his third straight contest. In the secondary, cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc will also make his first appearance of the season.

With the Birds in Miami to face the lowly Dolphins, FOX broadcast of the game will only be seen in the Philadelphia and South Florida areas. Most of the country will see the Ravens take on the 49ers in the FOX early game.

Carson Wentz vs. Dolphins banged-up defense

Carson Wentz is never lacking for confidence, but with the Miami Dolphins next up on the schedule, Sunday is a good time to get the wheels rolling towards a playoff run. Miami’s defense ranks last in the NFL in passing DVOA by Football Outsiders, and Miami is allowing 8.8 yards per attempt, which is third-worst in the NFL.

Zach Ertz made the trip to Miami to face the Dolphins and according to Tim McManus of ESPN.com, he’ll likely be a game-time decision as he tests out his injured hamstring.

Ertz suffered the injury during the Eagles loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday but was able to finish the game.

The Eagles would have Josh Perkins and co-starter, Dallas Goedert available in Miami if Ertz can‘t play.

Eagles waive DT Albert Huggins

Eagles waive DT Albert Huggins

The Philadelphia Eagles promoted tight end Josh Perkins to the active roster after Zach Ertz was listed as questionable on the Friday injury report. To make room for Perkins on the active roster, the Eagles waived defensive tackle, Albert Huggins.

Huggins, an undrafted rookie, signed with Philadelphia ahead of their Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Huggins will now be subject to waivers and the Eagles will face the Dolphins with just three defensive tackles, Fletcher Cox, Timmy Jernigan, and Anthony Rush.

Eagles activate CB Cre’Von LeBlanc off injured reserve

Cre’Von LeBlanc off injured reserve and added to Eagles active roster

The Philadelphia Eagles have a full and healthy defensive backfield with the news that Cre’Von LeBlanc has been activated off of injured reserve and added to the 53-man roster.

To make room for LeBlanc, the Eagles waived Jordan Matthews earlier in the week.

LeBlanc injured his foot during the first week of training camp and missed all of the preseason.

During the 53-man cut-down, the Eagles designated LeBlanc to injured reserve with his status to return once healthy. LeBlanc will backup Avonte Maddox in the slot.

Eagles agree to 4-year, $72M contract extension with Lane Johnson

Eagles agree to 4-year, $72M extension with Lane Johnson

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a new four-year, $72 million contract extension with right tackle, Lane Johnson.

The $18 million per season now makes Johnson the highest-paid offensive linemen in NFL history when it comes to average salary per season and the Eagles right tackle now overtakes Trent Brown of the Raiders and Taylor Lewan of the Titans for highest-paid per season per Over The Cap.

The move comes after the Eagles watched the offense fall apart following Johnson leaving the Eagles loss against New England with a head injury. Andre Dillard started at right tackle for Johnson against Seattle and the result was disastrous.

The Philadelphia Eagles have released their final injury report in advance of the team’s matchup with the Dolphins in Miami. Tight end Zach Ertz (hamstring) and running back Jordan Howard, (neck) are both questionable for the game.

The rest of the Eagles had no injury designation, as Nelson Agholor, Brandon Brooks, Vinny Curry, Alshon Jeffery, Lane Johnson, Jason Peters, and Carson Wentz were all full participants and should be good to go for Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles will likely have Nelson Agholor back for the team’s game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Agholor missed last week’s game against the Seahawks with a knee injury suffered during the final moments of the team’s loss to New England.

Agholor is averaging just 5.1 yards per target, but is the fastest wideout on the roster and will be needed to help keep coverages honest.
