A lot has changed for the Miami Dolphins in recent weeks, as they’ve lost a few players to injury, leading to signings and elevations to bring new players to the roster.

With a Week 12 battle against the New York Jets on the horizon, let’s refamiliarize ourselves with the Dolphins roster, including the recent signing and the one elevation the team made on Thursday.

The Dolphins are looking to fill their secondary coach spot.

The Dolphins requested to interview Chargers assistant secondary coach Tom Donatell for their secondary coach position, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.

Son of former Vikings defensive coordinator Ed Donatell, Tom completed his second season with Los Angeles, where he assisted secondary coach Derrick Ansley.

Before joining the Chargers, Donatell coached with the Seahawks as a quality control/defense coach for four seasons (2017-20).

Donatell spent four seasons coaching at the collegiate level before joining the NFL ranks, serving as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of South Florida (2013-14) and at UCLA (2015-16).

Just a quick reminder of who’s on the roster and what number they wear.

The Miami Dolphins had a lot of changes this offseason, as a number of talented players have entered their system and are ready to show that they can make an impact for this team.

On Saturday night, the Dolphins will take the field for the first time under new head coach Mike McDaniel for a preseason matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

At this point in the year, all NFL teams are allowed to carry up to 90 players on their offseason roster through training camp.

By the time the regular season starts, each roster will be trimmed down to just 53 players, and 16 more can be stashed on the practice squad. Before that point, however, there will be cuts down to 85 and 80 players during preseason.
