Carnegie Mellon is No. 1 in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll

Four teams received first-place votes in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll.

Carnegie Mellon is the top-ranked women’s golf team in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll released by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Carnegie Mellon garnered eight first-place votes. Four other teams collected first-place votes in the poll, with No. 4 Williams College getting three of them. No. 2 Emory and No. 3 Methodist each received one first-place vote. George Fox rounds out the top-5.

The Tartans last competed in the 2021 Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational, where they finished third among the 20 teams in the field. Next up is the Savannah Invitational at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia, March 7-8.

The WGCA has released its third women’s coaches poll of the season and Carnegie Mellon remains No. 1 with eight first-place votes.

The WGCA has released its third women’s coaches poll of the season, and in Division III, Carnegie Mellon University remains No. 1 with eight first-place votes.

Behind Carnegie Mellon, Methodist University holds steady at No. 2 with one first-place vote. George Fox University received two first-place votes to remain at No. 3, while Centre College jumped three spots to No. 4 with one first-place vote. Williams College remains at No. 5 after receiving two first-place votes.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2021 fall season.

In Division III, Carnegie Mellon claims the No. 1 spot with four first-place votes, while Methodist trails closely behind after also receiving four-first place votes. George Fox received one first-place vote to remain at No. 3, while Emory jumped three spots to No. 4 with two-first place votes. Williams College remains at No. 5 after receiving one first-place vote.

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. In Division III, reigning NCAA champion Methodist University takes the No. 1 spot with nine first-place votes, followed by NCAA runner-up Carnegie Mellon University, who received two first-place votes.

George Fox University received one first-place vote to open the season at No. 3, with University of Redlands coming in at No. 4. Williams College rounds out the top five after receiving one first-place vote.

Redlands remains in the top spot in new WGCA Division III Coaches Poll

Redlands is once again the top team in NCAA Division III women’s golf, according to the latest coaches poll.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has released its third spring coaches poll and in Division III, the top team remained at the top.

University of Redlands holds steady in the top spot after receiving nine first-place votes. The Bulldogs have won all three of their spring starts. In the poll, Redlands is followed closely by Methodist University with three first-place votes.

Centre College, recent winner of the Golfweek Division III Spring Invite, jumps 23 places to No. 3 with one first-place vote, while Carnegie Mellon University and George Fox University remain in the top five at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Carnegie Mellon University received seven first-place votes to begin the spring at No. 1, while Methodist University sits at No. 2.

The Tartans of Carnegie Mellon also began the 2020 spring season seated atop the first WGCA Coaches Poll. It’s just that the season ended abruptly shortly after that because of COVID.

Washington University in St. Louis comes in at No. 3 with two first-place votes, followed by George Fox University at No. 4, while Williams College received one first-place vote to rank No. 5.

The university, which is located in Pittsburg, received all but two first-place votes to begin the spring at No. 1, while Washington University in St. Louis ranks No. 2 with one first-place vote. The No. 2 position is one better than how Washington-St. Louis finished the spring. The Bears replaced Redlands, which received only one first-place vote and fell to No. 9 in the poll.

Methodist University comes in at No. 3, followed by New York University at No. 4 and Williams College at No. 5.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) revealed Friday the final WGCA Coaches Polls of the fall 2019-20 season.

In the Division III poll, Carnegie Mellon earned seven first-place votes to sit at the top spot. University of Redlands earned the No. 2 spot with four first-place votes followed by Washington University in St. Louis in third with one-first place vote. George Fox University and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps earned the fourth and fifth spots on the newest poll.
