5-star guard Divine Bourrage commits to LSU women’s basketball

The Tigers landed the No. 5 player in the 2025 class on Thursday.

LSU women’s basketball and coach Kim Mulkey landed an absolutely massive pickup on Thursday.

Five-star guard [autotag]Divine Bourrage[/autotag], fresh off an official visit to Baton Rouge, announced her commitment to the Tigers. Bourrage ranks as the No. 5 player in the 2025 recruiting class, according to ESPN’s rankings.

The Davenport, Iowa, prospect committed to LSU over South Carolina, Arizona, Baylor, Illinois and Virginia Tech. She becomes the second commitment in the 2025 class, joining guard [autotag]Bella Hines[/autotag], who is also a five-star prospect.

Bourrage’s commitment gives Mulkey three top-10 recruits during her time at LSU. The Tigers also landed a top-100 guard in the 2024 class in [autotag]Jada Richard[/autotag].

LSU women’s basketball picks up a prediction for top 10 2025 prospect

The Tigers are in good position to add an elite 2025 shooting guard prospect in Divine Bourrage.

After winning a national title in 2023 and reaching the Final Four again in 2024, coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag] and the LSU women’s basketball team look to retool with a roster that lost superstar [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] but brings back [autotag]Flau’Jae Johnson[/autotag] and [autotag]Aneesah Morrow[/autotag] while adding some veterans in the portal.

While Mulkey’s focus is on the upcoming season, she’s also looking to add top talent in the 2025 recruiting cycle, and the Tigers seem to be in a good spot for a top-10 prospect in the class.

On Sunday morning, LSU picked up a 70% confidence prediction from On3’s Matthew Brune to land [autotag]Divine Bourrage[/autotag], the No. 7 player nationally and No. 2 shooting guard in the 2025 class. The Tigers are now a 93.5% favorite to land Bourrage, who hails from Davenport, Iowa, according to the On3 recruiting prediction machine.

LSU already holds one commitment in the cycle from top 25 point guard [autotag]Bella Hines[/autotag], who committed back in April.

LSU women’s basketball makes the cut for another top 10 prospect

LSU remains in the mix for several elite prospects in the 2025 class.

The LSU women’s basketball team is looking to add to a 2025 recruiting class that already features one top-25 prospect in [autotag]Bella Hines[/autotag], and it made the cut for a pair of players in the top 10 this week.

[autotag]ZaKiyah Johnson[/autotag], a Kentucky shooting guard who ranks as the No. 4 player in the class, announced her finalists on Thursday. On Friday, she was joined by shooting guard [autotag]Divine Bourrage[/autotag], the No. 7 player in the class per On3 from Davenport, Iowa.

LSU is joined in the five-star’s top six by Illinois, Baylor, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Arizona. Bourrage told On3’s Talia Goodman she plans to unofficially visit all six.

In addition to these players, On3 currently views LSU as the favorite for [autotag]Aaliyah Chavez[/autotag], the No. 1 player in the nation from Lubbock, Texas. The Tigers are still looking to flesh out their 2025 class, but it has the chance to be an elite group.
