Lions vs. Patriots head-to-head
Neither team has looked very good and the Patriots are especially not living up to expectations. The Lions offense is looking much improved, scoring 45 points vs. Seattle, but the Lions defense is allowing the most points per game in the league. The Patriots are missing starting QB Mac Jones, but the defense has looked pretty strong. If major Detroit playmakers in WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and RB D’Andre Swift are out again, I’m not sure that I would trust QB Jared Goff to overcome a very solid Patriots defense.
New England leads the all-time series 7-5, but Detroit won the last meeting in 2018 at home 26-10.
