2026 4-star WR out of Texarkana (TX) has postponed his commitment

2026 4-star WR Dequane Prevo has postponed his commitment decision

Amid a busy recruiting weekend for Texas A&M, Mike Elko and his staff continue to make headway in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes. Several priority prospects are set to announce their commitments sooner rather than later.

In the 2026 cycle, 4-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo, a favorite to land with the Aggies, also visited campus this weekend for the first time since late June. Before today, Prevo was scheduled to announce his commitment on Tuesday, July 30.

However, as of Sunday morning, Prevo took to X to inform all of us that he has postponed his commitment announcement until further notice. This will provide the incoming junior with more time to mull over his options, with substantial time remaining until a final decision needs to be made.

Prevo will choose between Penn State, USC, Arkansas, Baylor, and, of course, Texas A&M when a new date is announced,

According to 247Sports, Prevo, who is 5’10” and 160 pounds, is currently the 16th-ranked athlete and the 32nd-ranked prospect in Texas.

2026 4-Star CB Dequane Prevo has released his Top 13 program list

Texas A&M, a favorite to land 2026 4-Star CB Dequane Prevo, has just been included in the rising star’s Top 13 program list.

It’s never too early to develop long-lasting relationships within future recruiting classes. While fan bases may question the focus on the 2026 recruiting class now, Texas A&M is already a favorite to land one of the top athletes in the cycle.

This week, 2026 four-star cornerback Dequane Prevo released his initial  Top 13 program list, which includes Oregon, Ole Miss, Penn State, Arkansas,  Oklahoma, Auburn, Missouri, Texas, Florida State, USC, Missouri State, Houston, and Texas A&M.

Again, we are in the early stages of Prevo’s recruiting journey; as his offers continue to pile up, he is currently positioned as the 64th-ranked player in the cycle, the 7th-ranked athlete, and the 6th-ranked player in Texas. Listed at 5-10 and 160 pounds, Prevo’s speed, coverage ability, impressive length, and position versatility on offense vaulted him to the varsity team as a 9th grader at Liberty-Eylau (TX) in 2022.

Even though any current prediction fails to hold a lot of weight, 247Sports National Recruiting Director Steve Wiltfong has already predicted Prevo to land with the Maroon and White, for whatever that’s worth!
