De’Mornay Pierson-El of the St. Louis Battlehawks scored a touchdown in the third quarter Sunday at Houston against the Roughnecks.
The wideout from Nebraska said after the TD it had special meaning. His grandmother passed away recently and his grandfather had asked Pierson-El to score a touchdown in St. Louis’ opener. That didn’t happen, but he did find the end zone in Houston.
The @XFLBattleHawks have pulled within one score.
