Deion Sanders reminds Nebraska fans of Scott Frost following Colorado’s loss at Oregon

The Colorado Buffaloes suffered their first loss of the year when they fell to Oregon 42-6 in Eugene. Following the game, head coach Deion Sanders made it very clear that he’s only at the beginning of his rebuild and even echoed former Nebraska coach Scott Frost with his post-game comments.

“I don’t say stuff just to say it for a click, contrary to what some may say. Yeah, I keep receipts. But I’m serious. I analyze and I understand what we’re up against and what we have and what we need. One thing that I can say, honestly and candidly. You better get me right now. This is the worst we’re going to be. You bet get me right now.”

Nebraska fans may remember that Scott Frost made similar comments at his first Big Ten Media Days appearance back in 2018.

“I know if we’re getting better day by day, we’re going to be really dangerous and hard to beat in the very near future. We’ll see how this first year goes but people better get us now because we’re going to keep getting better.”

Of course, Nebraska would not keep getting better under Frost. In his four-plus years at Nebraska, Frost would never have a bowl-eligible team and would finish with a record of 16-31.

Considering where Coach Sander already has his team in his first year at the helm, it’s clear that the comparisons between him and Scott Frost end there. Find a photo gallery of Scott Frost’s college coach career at Nebraska below.
