Raiders, Browns Week 4 injury report: WR Davante Adams injures hamstring

WR Davante Adams shows up on the Raiders injury report with a hamstring injury

There was no good news on the Raiders Thursday injury report. But there was some potential bad news — Davante Adams injured his hamstring.

Adams appears to have suffered the injury Thursday, causing him to show up as limited on the injury report.

Whether Adams practices on Friday or not will be an indication of the severity of the injury.

Still not practicing for the Raiders on Thursday were Maxx Crosby (ankle), Thayer Munford (knee/ankle), LB Divine Deablo (oblique), and CB DeCamerion Richardson (hamstring).

The Browns, on the other hand, got some good news. Returning to practice were DE Myles Garrett,TE David Njoku, and RB Jerome Ford.

Early in the second quarter, the Raiders got perhaps the worst possible scenario. Davante Adams went down on an attempted completion on a pass behind him from Aidan O’Connell and didn’t get back up.

Davante eventually did get up, but he was not moving his right arm, which suggests a shoulder injury. He wasn’t even taken to a medical tent, but immediately headed for the tunnel.

Shortly after, he was officially ruled Questionable to return with a shoulder injury.

Obviously it’s a huge loss for the Raiders, even if just for the rest of this game. It’s far more significant a loss if the injury keeps Adams out for considerable time.

Adams leads the Raiders in receiving by a wide margin. His 322 yards is twice that of Jakobi Meyers who has the next most yards receiving on the team.

UPDATE: Adams returned to the game just prior to the end of the first half and Raider Nation breathes a collective sigh of relief.
