Patrick Mahomes reacts to bizarre claim by flag football pro

#Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes invoked 50 Cent in his reaction to comments made by a professional flag football player in a TMZ interview.

Professional flag football player Darrell Doucette issued a challenge to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, asserting he could beat the reigning Super Bowl MVP for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team when the sport is added for the 2028 games.

Doucette gave credit to Mahomes for being the best quarterback in the NFL but claimed that he could beat out Mahomes to be the Olympic team’s quarterback.

Mahomes responded to Doucette’s comments on Twitter with understandable confusion over the callout.

Using a famous reaction by five-time Grammy winner 50 Cent, Mahomes quickly moved on from the discourse about Doucette’s bold claim.

Judging from this interaction, Mahomes seems more than happy to let Doucette keep the title of champion flag footballer, and far more interested in Kansas City’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens game on September 5.

Stay tuned to see if Mahomes can prove Doucette wrong with a win in Week 1 of the regular season.

Patrick Mahomes responded to flag football QB Darrell Doucette’s bizarre call-out with a perfect meme

Patrick Mahomes refused to take this silly bait.

No disrespect to flag football quarterback Darrell Doucette, but I think he’s got a little too much dip on the chip. I don’t know if it’s because of insecurity (probably), but he should really stop.

As signs point to NFL players trying to participate in flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, Doucette has been vocal about how they won’t just replace long-time players of the game like himself on a whim. In a recent interview with TMZ, he went as far as to say that he’s actually better than Patrick Mahomes because he has a “better IQ” for football.

You know, the very same Mahomes with three Super Bowl wins (and counting), three Super Bowl MVPs (and counting), and two NFL MVPs (and counting) for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Needless to say, but Doucette’s assessment is false, false, FALSE on every count, even if he is likely only trying to get some attention with these comments.

When Mahomes caught wind of Doucette’s comparison, he didn’t roast the flag footballer. Instead, he took the high road, wondering why Doucettee felt the need to mention and blast him in the first place with the famous 50 Cent meme where the rapper asks, “I’m like, what he say [expletive] me for?

Mahomes is a better person than me because I’m not sure I would’ve been as kind to Doucette.

That shows you that Mahomes also isn’t insecure about his accomplishments and standing in football. He knows he’s special. He knows he doesn’t have to tear down a clearly inferior athlete and football player — in every way, let’s not kid ourselves — who is trying to punch up with weird call-outs. Mahomes’ play speaks for itself.

As for Doucette, well, if NFL players really want to play flag football at the Olympics, I wouldn’t hold my breath about his participation. They’re the best football players, of any kind, in the world. Now imagine skill guys like Mahomes getting to run around without being concerned about getting hit by a vicious pass-rusher. The gap between him and people like Doucette would only be even wider.

That’s just life, man. It’s time to move on.
