Titans take RB D’Andre Swift in CBS mock draft

CBS Sports’ R.J. White has the team doing just that with the No. 29 overall pick in his latest mock draft.

Depending on how things go with Derrick Henry, the Tennessee Titans could be looking to add another top running back to the roster ahead of the 2020 season.

One way they could do that is by selecting Georgia rusher D’Andre Swift in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

CBS Sports’ R.J. White has the team doing just that with the No. 29 overall pick in his latest mock draft.

“Derrick Henry is the straw that stirs the Titans’ offensive drink, but what if he’s just too expensive to retain?,” he wrote. “The Titans are in prime position to add another feature back here, and Swift would be a great fit for their offense.”

Swift was a major force for the Bulldogs, and is the strongest prospect at the position this year.

The 5-foot-9, 215-pounder totaled 196 carries for 1,218 yards and seven touchdowns in 2019, carrying 440 times for 2,885 yards and 20 touchdowns over three seasons at Georgia.

He’s an explosive playmaker who has the ability to make plays both on the ground and in the passing game, racking up 73 receptions for 666 yards and five touchdowns on his college career.

If the Titans opt not to go for Swift, there are several other exciting prospects to choose from in the following rounds, including Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins, Wisconsin’s Johnathan Taylor and Utah’s Zack Moss.
