Eagles expected to have interest in signing free agent TE Zach Ertz

The Cardinals are waiving veteran tight end Zach Ertz, who requested his release and Adam Schefter reports the Eagles have interest in signing the free agent

The Eagles are always looking to add talent to the roster, and with Dallas Goedert injured, the team could look to bring back a future Ring of Honor nominee.

The Cardinals and tight end Zach Ertz mutually parted ways, with Arizona deciding to move forward with Trey McBride as the feature tight end while allowing Ertz to finish the season somewhere else.

Ertz went unclaimed, and he’s now a free agent, and can sign with any team. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Philadelphia does in fact have interest in adding Ertz to the roster.

Goedert is listed as doubtful for Week 13 against the 49ers.

Still, production at the position has been limited when he’s out of the lineup, and Ertz could provide Jalen Hurts with a trusted security blanket if needed.

Ertz exited Philadelphia with 579 receptions, 6,267 yards, and 38 touchdowns, the most catches by a tight end in a single season. He’ll go down as one of the best players in franchise history, making a significant impact in the city.

Dallas Goedert is practicing ahead of Eagles Week 13 showdown vs. 49ers

Dallas Goedert is participating in Friday’s practice ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles showdown vs. San Francisco 49ers on Sunday

Dallas Goedert had surgery on his fractured forearm less than a month ago, and as the Eagles prepare for a monster matchup against the 49ers, the star tight end is trending toward a return to the lineup.

Goedert has been a fixture at Philadelphia’s practice over the past three weeks, but on Friday, the talented pass catcher looks like a player set for a return to the lineup.

The Eagles were expected to be without his services for the bulk of their brutal five-game stretch coming off their bye week with games at the Kansas City Chiefs, Cowboys, and Seahawks and home games versus the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills.

Goedert could now conceivably only miss the Chiefs and Bills while returning for San Francisco, Dallas, and Seattle.

Should the Ravens have interest in TE Zach Ertz after he’s waived by the Cardinals?

The Cardinals are waiving veteran tight end Zach Ertz, who requested his release and we think the Ravens should have interest if he’s not claimed

The Ravens are always looking to add talent to the roster, and with Mark Andrews injured, could the team look to a future Hall of Famer?

The Cardinals and tight end Zach Ertz are mutually parting ways, with Arizona deciding to move forward with Trey McBride as the feature tight end while allowing Ertz to finish the season somewhere else.

If Ertz is claimed, he’ll be owed a little over $2.5 million for the rest of the season.

Andrew is a longshot to return to the lineup this season.

Still, production at the position has been limited when he’s out of the lineup, and Ertz could provide Lamar Jackson with a trusted security blanket if needed.

Ertz exited Philadelphia with 579 receptions, 6,267 yards, and 38 touchdowns, the most catches by a tight end in a single season. He’ll go down as one of the best players in franchise history and is now looking for one more Super Bowl run.
