Colorado offers top-ranked two-way prospect Brandon Arrington

Colorado is looking to land another talented two-way player

The Colorado Buffaloes’ season may end on Dec. 28 in the Alamo Bowl, but their recruiting trail always stays hot. As announced via social media on Monday, the Buffs have offered Brandon Arrington Jr., a five-star wide receiver/cornerback in the 2026 recruiting class.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds and hailing from Spring Valley, California, Arrington holds 36 Division I offers. All major recruiting outlets rank him as a top 50 overall prospect, with On3 and Rivals favoring the Texas A&M Aggies to snag the two-way talent. The 247Sports composite ranks Arrington as the No. 1 athlete in his class.

Arrington is one of the fastest prospects nationally, possessing speed that won him state track and field titles in the 100 and 200-meter dashes.

The Buffaloes just saw Travis Hunter reach unprecedented heights playing both ways, so offering Arrington comes as no surprise.

Top Oklahoma prospect Colton Yarbrough includes Colorado in top five, sets commitment date

Top-ranked Oklahoma prospect Colton Yarbrough is heavily considering the Buffs

Amid Colorado football’s second preseason camp under head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffs received some positive recruiting news regarding four-star edge rusher Colton Yarbrough.

Yarbrough, the top-ranked class of 2026 prospect in Oklahoma (247Sports), revealed his top five on Wednesday, and Colorado was featured alongside the Georgia Bulldogs, Arkansas Razorbacks, Oklahoma State Cowboys and LSU Tigers. None of those five teams will wait in suspense long because Yarbrough also announced he’ll commit on Saturday.

The Buffs have been interested in Yarbrough for about 18 months, first offering the Durant High School rising junior in January 2023. If the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Oklahoma standout does commit to Colorado this weekend, he’ll become Coach Prime’s first class of 2026 pledge.

247Sports ranks Yarbrough as the No. 17 EDGE in his recruiting class and the No. 147 prospect nationally.

Colorado offers four-star class of 2026 TE Evan Jacobson

Four-star tight end Evan Jacobson is on Colorado’s radar

Class of 2026 tight end Evan Jacobson announced Monday that after speaking with Colorado football TE coach Brett Bartolone, he picked up an offer from the Buffs.

A four-star prospect according to 247Sports, Jacobson hails from Iowa and is headed into his junior season at Waukee High School. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Colorado recruit caught six passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore.

In the 2026 class, 247Sports ranks Jacobson as the No. 7 TE nationally and the No. 2 prospect in his home state of Iowa.

Other notable Power Four teams that have offered Jacobson include the Penn State Nittany Lions, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers.

Jacobson’s older brother, Michael, played college basketball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa State Cyclones before transitioning to the NFL. The elder Jacobson is currently a New Orleans Saints practice squad tight end.

Buffaloes offer 2026 offensive lineman Desmond Green

Colorado is trying to bolster its offensive line of the future

Offensive line coach Phil Loadholt and the Colorado Buffaloes like their linemen big, and it doesn’t get much bigger than a 6-foot-4, 325-pound high school junior. Those are the measurables for class of 2026 interior OL Desmond Green, who announced a scholarship offer from the Buffs on Friday.

Entering his junior year, Green already holds offers from the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs, among others. The Saint Stephen, South Carolina prospect is pegged as a three-star by the 247Sports composite and a top-10 player in the state. With that offer list, I would not be surprised to see his rankings improve as he moves through his final two years at Timberland High School.

Watching his high school highlights, you can see the power already in his game, as he easily outmatches opposing defenders in the run game. I will be watching to see how his footwork and agility improve in the coming years.

Four-star offensive lineman Zykie Helton, teammate of Julian Lewis, announces Colorado offer

Colorado is going after one of Julian Lewis’ top offensive linemen

New Colorado football offensive line coach Phil Loadholt has been busy this summer. Along with earning the commitment of 2025 OL Chauncey Gooden, Loadholt offered four-star offensive lineman Zykie Helton on Sunday.

Helton, a class of 2026 prospect, was originally committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide before reopening his recruitment in March. Since then, his name has been a hot topic among schools nationwide. He currently owns a strong list of Power Four offers, including the Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs.

Standing 6-foot-3, the 247Sports composite ranks Helton as the No. 17 interior offensive lineman in his class. The Georgia prospect was also named a sophomore All-American by MaxPreps last season.

Helton has been instrumental to Carrollton High School’s recent success, protecting highly sought-after quarterback Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis over the past two seasons. Lewis, a five-star prospect, visited Colorado this past weekend and earned tons of attention from the Boulder community. While the two remain split on their college decisions with Lewis currently committed to the USC Trojans, Helton joining the Buffaloes could bode well in convincing his teammate to follow suit.

Colorado offers local Fairview High School athlete Toray Davis

The Buffs offered a talented prospect from their own backyard

While recruiting potential future players, the Buffaloes are looking closely at some talented in-state prospects. On Wednesday, Fairview High School athlete Toray Davis took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that after speaking with Colorado football defensive coordinator Robert Livingston and cornerbacks coach Kevin Mathis, he received an offer from the Buffs.

Listed as a wide receiver on 247Sports, the class of 2026 prospect from Boulder is seemingly being recruited as a defensive back. The rising Fairview junior is listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds and shows incredible ball skills as a defensive back. Though not yet graded by any recruiting services, Davis could grow into one of the state’s top prospects if he can continue to improve as a ballhawk.

Davis’ highlight tape also features him lining up at multiple offensive positions, including wide receiver and running back. The two-way playmaker has earned other scholarship offers from Iowa State and San Diego State.

California four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal reveals top 10 schools

Colorado target Jaden O’Neal revealed his top 10 schools

About two weeks after taking a recruiting visit to Boulder, class of 2026 four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal revealed his top 10 schools on Wednesday and Colorado made the cut.

The Miami Hurricanes, Florida State Seminoles, Auburn Tigers, Arizona State Sun Devils, Oklahoma Sooners, Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions, Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies were the nine other Power Four programs featured on O’Neal’s list. Based on his top 10, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback appears content with playing college football outside his home state of California.

Ahead of his junior season at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, the 247Sports composite ranks O’Neal as the No. 6 quarterback in his class.

Oklahoma, currently preparing for its first season in the SEC, has landed six 247Sports crystal ball predictions to land O’Neil.

In a recent interview with On3, O’Neil shared that Colorado’s “experienced (coaching) staff” has made the Buffs an intriguing destination.

Four-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo announces Colorado offer

Four-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo picked up an offer from the Buffs

After landing Jordan Seaton this past winter, the Colorado Buffaloes are looking for their next blue-chip offensive line prospect. On Monday, Felix Ojo, a four-star tackle (per 247Sports composite) in the 2026 recruiting cycle, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he received a scholarship offer from the Buffs and offensive line coach Phil Loadholt.

Ojo has built an impressive list of offers, including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arkansas Razorbacks, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Bulldogs and other notable Power Four programs.

At 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, the Manfield, Texas native plays left tackle for Lake Ridge High School. Although he was only a sophomore in 2023, his highlight tapes show he can move varsity athletes in both the run and pass game with relative ease.

Colleges will likely want to see him add size to his frame and continue to grow as an athlete. Ojo is a polished offensive tackle prospect who will have teams fighting for his services in the coming years.
