Social media reacts to Jordan Seaton finally signing with Colorado

At long last, Jordan Seaton is officially a Colorado Buffalo

At long last, Jordan Seaton is officially a Colorado Buffalo.

The five-star offensive tackle signed his national letter of intent on Friday during the waning hours of the early signing period, as confirmed by Rivals. Reports had emerged earlier this week that Maryland was making a late push to land Seaton, but the top-ranked OT in the 2024 class ultimately stayed true to his Colorado commitment.

As things currently stand, Seaton should be considered the favorite to start at left tackle next season for head coach Deion Sanders.

Here’s how social media reacted to Seaton making things official with Colorado on the final day of the early signing period:

One thing to know about each of Colorado’s 2024 high school signees

Get to know Colorado’s class of 2024 high school signees

Only five class of 2024 high school prospects made things official with Colorado during the first day of the early signing period.

While it’s certainly a small group, it doesn’t lack talent as Drelon Miller, Kam Mikell and Brandon Davis-Swain are all considered four-star recruits by 247Sports. Colorado fans are also holding out hope that five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton will sign before the early period ends. (UPDATE: Seaton officially signed his NLI with Colorado on Friday.)

In addition to those five high school signees, 16 transfer portal players signed with the Buffs on Wednesday, giving head coach Deion Sanders the top-ranked transfer class in the country.

Below is one thing you should know about each of Colorado’s six class of 2024 high school signees:

2024 EDGE Amontrae Bradford flips commitment from Colorado to Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech managed to flip three-star edge rusher Amontrae Bradford

On Wednesday, Colorado and head football coach Deion Sanders received bad news when class of 2024 edge rusher Amontrae Bradford flipped his commitment to Georgia Tech.

The 6-foot-5, 237-pound prospect out of Statesboro, Georgia previously committed to CU on Oct. 9, but he remained linked to the Yellow Jackets as an in-state target. JacketsOnline reported Bradford’s flip early Wednesday afternoon.

Colorado has added quite a bit of talent on the edge over the past few weeks, so Georgia Tech likely represents a place where Bradford can get early playing time. Listed as a composite three-star on 247Sports, Bradford is now one of the Yellow Jackets’ top 2024 commits.

While it hurts to lose out on Bradford, the first day of the early signing period has gone well for Colorado. On the D-line, Quency Wiggins (LSU transfer), Samuel Okunlola (Pitt transfer) and 2024 prospects Brandon Davis-Swain and Eric Brantley have all signed.

We’ll have to wait and see what Sanders and his staff have up their sleeves to counter this loss.

REPORT: Maryland making late push to flip five-star Colorado OL commit Jordan Seaton

REPORT: Maryland is making a late push to steal five-star OL Jordan Seaton from Colorado

As of this writing, five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton has yet to make things official with Colorado.

It’s still too early for Buffs fans to panic, but it would be nice to see arguably the most important commit of Deion Sanders’ 2024 class ink his national letter of intent during this early signing period.

However, at 9:40 a.m. MT on Wednesday, Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports reported that Maryland hosted Seaton this past weekend. Terrapins head football coach Mike Locksley has been “recruiting Seaton for nearly four years and the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) native is thinking about playing closer to home,” Wiltfong wrote.

Again, I don’t think it’s time to panic yet, but Wiltfong’s report isn’t exactly welcomed news.

Here’s how social media has reacted:

Colorado’s huge recruiting weekend continues with commitment from four-star WR Dre’lon Miller

Wide receivers coach Brett Bartolone landed a commitment from four-star prospect Dre’lon Miller

One of the most impressive recruiting weekends in Colorado football history got even better on Sunday as 2024 four-star wide receiver Dre’lon Miller announced his commitment.

Miller, who visited Boulder earlier this month, is the No. 13 ranked wide receiver in his class, according to the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot, 190-pound blue-chip receiver from Texas also had LSU, USC and Texas A&M among his top schools.

With Miller now on board, head coach Deion Sanders gained his sixth commitment of the weekend. Miller, the only non-transfer portal player of the group, joins center Yakiri Walker, OL Tyler Johnson, WR Terrell Timmons Jr., OL Justin Mayers and OL Kahlil Benson.

According to his MaxPreps page, Miller had 52 receptions for 1,010 yards and a touchdown in his senior season at Silsbee High School. He also rushed for 220 yards on 22 carries.

The Buffs’ 2024 class now includes 10 commits.

Where Colorado’s 2024 class ranks nationally in average player rating following Jordan Seaton’s commitment

Colorado’s 2024 class is now ranked in the top 15 nationally in terms of average player rating

Colorado’s 2024 recruiting class received a significant talented boost on Thursday when five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton shocked the college football world by announcing his commitment to the Buffs. With an impressive 247Sports Composite rating of .9940, Seaton is set to become the third highest-rated signee in CU football history.

Head coach Deion Sanders now has 10 class of 2024 commits, but that number could easily rise now that the Seaton domino has fallen in Colorado’s favor. Coach Prime and the Buffs currently have just under two weeks until the early signing period begins on Dec. 20.

See below where Colorado’s 2024 average talent rating ranks nationally, according to 247Sports:

Five things to know about new Colorado OL commit Jordan Seaton

Never count Deion Sanders out of a recruiting race.

Despite removing Colorado from his list of top schools earlier this week, five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton shocked the college football world on Thursday when he gave his commitment to Coach Prime. Seaton is now the highest-rated member of the Buffaloes’ 2024 recruiting class, which currently holds 10 commits ahead of the looming early signing day.

He’ll have to earn it, but Seaton should be considered the favorite to start at left tackle for Colorado next season. Many have even dubbed the 6-foot-5, 287-pound prospect as “The Savior.”

Below are five things you should know about Seaton:

Social media reacts to Colorado landing top-ranked 2024 OT Jordan Seaton

Here’s how social media reacted to Jordan Seaton’s surprise commitment:

Jordan Seaton may have just pulled off one of the biggest troll jobs in college football recruiting history. Only days after removing Colorado from his top list of schools, the No. 1 ranked 2024 offensive tackle surprised many when he committed to the Buffs on Thursday morning.

Seaton, a 6-foot-5, 287-pound prospect out of IMG Academy in Florida, made his announcement live on FS1’s “Undisputed” alongside Skip Bayless, Keyshawn Johnson and Michael Irvin.

On social media, Colorado fans and players were quick to show their excitement over head coach Deion Sanders’ latest recruiting pull. Below are some of the best reactions to Seaton’s commitment:

Five-star OT Jordan Seaton drops Colorado from list of top schools

It appears that five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton is no longer considering Colorado

In only a matter of weeks, it appears that Colorado has fallen off Jordan Seaton’s radar.

After naming Colorado to his top seven schools on Nov. 17, the No. 1 ranked 2024 offensive tackle (247Sports Composite) told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Monday that he’s now only considering Maryland, Ohio State, Oregon, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. Seaton plans on announcing his commitment to one of those six schools on Thursday.

It’s unclear exactly why Seaton dropped Colorado, but the departures of offensive coordinator Sean Lewis and O-line coach Bill O’Boyle may have played a factor.

Seaton, who played his high school ball at IMG Academy in Florida, took an official visit to Boulder last month for the Buffaloes’ homecoming game against Oregon State.

On a more positive note, the Buffaloes appear to be trending well with another highly-ranked 2024 offensive tackle, JacQawn McRoy. Colorado hosted and offered the four-star Oregon commit over this past weekend.

Colorado loses commitment from 2024 QB Danny O’Neil

One day after Antwann Hill Jr. announced his decommitment, fellow Colorado QB recruit Danny O’Neil followed suit

The Colorado Buffaloes football program has endured three decommits so far this offseason.

On Sunday, class of 2025 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. decommitted from Colorado. Then, on Monday, 2024 QB Danny O’Neil and 2025 running back Jamarice Wilder followed suit, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.

O’Neil was the first 2024 quarterback whom head coach Deion Sanders earned a commitment from. The Indianapolis native was an Elite 11 finalist and expected to be a huge piece of the future for the Buffs.

O’Neil threw for 2,068 yards and 31 touchdowns during his senior season at Cathedral High School. He also held offers from a number of schools, including Kentucky, Purdue, Louisville and Wake Forest.

The Buffs are now likely in the market for another young QB after losing a pair of commits in back-to-back days.

Class of 2025 WR Winston Watkins Jr. also decommitted from Colorado earlier this month, so the hits have been coming strong as of late for the Buffs.
