Analyzing Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Dallas Cowboys (0-0) and Los Angeles Rams (0-0) will open their preseason slates Sunday afternoon with a matchup at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET (NFL Network) from Inglewood, Calf. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Cowboys vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Cowboys will be resting their top players to open the preseason, including QB Dak Prescott. WR CeeDee Lamb has not yet reported to the team as he continues his holdout. Prescott participated in Thursday’s joint practice but experienced some ankle soreness.

The Rams are also going to take a cautious approach with their starters, as head coach Sean McVay always does. QB Matthew Stafford, RB Kyren Williams and WRs Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp won’t play in the preseason as they prepare for the regular season.

Cowboys at Rams picks and predictions

Prediction

Cowboys 20, Rams 13

Moneyline

The Rams don’t pay much attention to the preseason.  McVay puts far more emphasis on joint practices with other teams where his starters play and get valuable reps. In the last 3 years, the Rams are just 1-8 in the preseason, going 0-3 in 2021 and 2023.

The line is too juiced to take the Cowboys at -200, especially with backups playing everywhere, but Dallas has an obvious edge. PASS on the moneyline.

Against the spread

Not only is Stafford sitting this one out, but QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to do the same for the Rams. That leaves QB Stetson Bennett and QB Dresser Winn as Los Angeles’ only options. Bennett struggled last preseason and he missed the entire 2023 campaign while taking time away from football.

The Cowboys have a clear advantage at quarterback with QB Cooper Rush and even QB Trey Lance. BET COWBOYS -4 (-110) to cover.

Over/Under

The Rams defense performed well in the joint practice on Thursday, particularly up front where OLB Jared Verse and OLB Byron Young were winning consistently. Verse is a candidate to play Sunday and he could be a difference-maker.

Dallas’ defense is also deep, and the Rams are going to be sitting many of their top offensive players. BET UNDER 35 (-105).

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Dallas Cowboys (3-1) look to extend their winning streak to 4 games  Sunday when they visit the Los Angeles Rams (2-2). Kickoff from SoFi Stadium will be at 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX) in this Week 5 matchup between 2 NFC contenders. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Cowboys vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Cowboys have been without QB Dak Prescott for the last 3 weeks after he injured his thumb in the season opener. QB Cooper Rush has led the Cowboys to 3 straight wins, bringing his career record as a starter to 4-0 – the only Cowboys QB to ever win his first 4 starts. It helps that Dallas’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL, leading the league with 13 sacks.

The Rams have struggled mightily on offense the last 2 weeks and really, all season. They lost to the 49ers 24-9 in Week 4, being held without a TD on the road. QB Matthew Stafford hasn’t thrown a TD pass since Week 2 and has 6 INTs on the year. WR Cooper Kupp is still playing at an All-Pro level, leading the NFL with 42 receptions, but he isn’t getting much help.

Cowboys at Rams picks and predictions

Prediction

Rams 20, Cowboys 17

Moneyline

This is going to be a real test for the Rams offense, particularly the offensive line. They’ve lost several starters to injuries and will be playing a 3rd-string center, as well as a backup right guard. Dallas leads the NFL in sacks, so pressure could come in bunches.

Given the uncertainty with the Rams offense, I’m not willing to take them on the moneyline. PASS.

Against the spread

Without Prescott, the Cowboys have been underdogs frequently. Yet, they’ve still managed to not only cover the spread in each of the last 3 weeks, but win outright.

I like the COWBOYS +5.5 (-110) getting points on the road against a struggling Rams offense that can’t protect Stafford in the pocket. With this likely being a low-scoring game, take the points.

Over/Under

The Rams scored 31 points against a bad Falcons team. In their other 3 games, they scored 10, 20 and 9. The Cowboys have scored 20, 23 and 25 points in their 3 games without Prescott, but this still isn’t a very explosive offense.

Take the UNDER 42.5 (-103) in this one. The Over is just 1-3 in each of the Rams’ and Cowboys’ 4 games.

First look: Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams odds and lines

Looking at Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Rams Week 5 NFL odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

The Dallas Cowboys (3-1) travel to meet the Los Angeles Rams (2-2) Sunday at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Cowboys vs. Rams odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our NFL picks and predictions.

The Cowboys have started QB Cooper Rush 3 times since QB Dak Prescott went down with a thumb injury in Week 1, and he’s a perfect 3-for-3 under center. However, Prescott has a doctor’s appointment Tuesday and is pushing to return in Week 5.

The Rams are licking their wounds after a 24-9 beating from the rival San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football in Week 4. QB Matt Stafford was sacked 7 times, and the team went without a touchdown.

Cowboys at Rams head-to-head

The teams last met Sept. 13, 2020, in front of no fans in Los Angeles during the COVID-interrupted season. L.A. won 20-17 that game, and it has won 3 of the last 4 meetings while going 3-1 ATS.

The Over has cashed in 4 of the past 5 meetings in the series, too. This will be the first game between these teams at SoFi Stadium in front of a capacity crowd.

Wyoming at Colorado State odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Thursday’s Wyoming Cowboys at Colorado State Rams sports betting odds and lines, with college football betting picks, tips and predictions.

The Wyoming Cowboys (1-1, 1-1 MWC) and Colorado State Rams (0-1, 0-1) battle in Fort Collins, Colo., for a 9 p.m. ET kickoff Thursday. Below, we analyze the Wyoming-Colorado State college football betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Wyoming at Colorado State: Betting odds and lines

Odds via BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports’ betting odds for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 1:41 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Wyoming -167 (bet $167 to win $100) | Colorado State +140 (bet $100 to win $140)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Wyoming -3.5 (-110) | Colorado State +3.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 52.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Wyoming at Colorado State: Three things to know

  1. Wyoming rebounded after a narrow 37-34 overtime loss at Nevada in its opener to push past a solid Hawaii team at home 31-7 as a 2.5-point underdog. The Cowboys outgained the Warriors 393 to 233 last week, and they doubled them up 24-12 in first downs.
  2. Wyoming dominated last week’s game in time of possession by a 38:15 to 21:45 margin, riding the coattails of RB Xazavian Valladay for 163 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He is a big star, and picked up the slack with backup QB Levi Williams under center.
  3. Colorado State was rubbed out at Fresno State last week, getting torched 38-17 in a game it was never in. The Rams did a good job against the run, something they’ll need to do against the Cowboys, allowing just 84 yards to Fresno. However, the Bulldogs dinged them for 348 yards through the air. Dual-threat QB Todd Centeio completed just 10 of 23 passes for 141 yards and he ran for 80 yards.

Wyoming at Colorado State: Odds, prediction, betting lines and picks

Prediction

Wyoming 31, Colorado State 20

Money line (ML)

WYOMING (-167) is down to Williams under center after QB Sean Chambers had season-ending surgery. So, the Cowboys will rely on the back of Valladay and the run game. Colorado State (+140) did a good job against Fresno State last week on the ground, but that’s mostly because the Bulldogs were doing whatever they wanted through the air. Head coach Steve Addazio has a lot of work to do to whip these Rams into shape, and they’ll be no match for the Cowboys in this one.

Against the spread (ATS)

WYOMING (-3.5, -110) likely would be around a touchdown favorite on the road if Chambers were under center, but he’s not. It won’t make much difference, though, as Wyoming has the best player on either side, and Valladay will make his presence felt like he did against Hawaii last week. The Cowboys are 14-6 ATS in their past 20 games as favorites, and 5-1 ATS in the past six as road favorites, so the6 have the Rams right where they want them. The Cowboys are also 4-1 ATS in the past five trips to Fort Collins, and 4-0 ATS in the previous four meetings.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 52.5 (-110) is a strong play for a number of reasons. First off, Wyoming’s offense threw a blanket on a high-octane Hawaii offense last week, allowing just seven points. HC Craig Bohl’s defense was on fire in its first victory. Secondly, Centeio is very shaky under center and inaccurate. Plus, Wyoming likes to keep it on the ground and chew clock with Valladay, which is also in Under bettors’ favor.
