College golf facilities: University of the Pacific

Check out the Walter Chang Golf and Learning Center, home of the University of Pacific golf teams.

The Pacific men’s golf program opened its new Walter Chang Golf and Learning Center in Stockton, California, early in 2020. The facility – named after the program’s long-time supporter, Walter Chang, who earned his bachelor’s degree from the Eberhardt School of Business in 1982 – totals 4,200 square feet and features coaches offices, a conference room, team lounge, locker room, alumni locker room, a kitchen and three hitting bays with swing-analysis technology.

The project began in 2017 with the dedication of the Dr. Glen Albaugh Short Game Area. That area includes three chipping greens and space to putt. Diverse terrain, which includes seven bunkers as well as Bermudagrass greens, allows Pacific players to practice an array of shots there.
