The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Florida in a very entertaining SEC Championship that showcased the powerful offenses of both teams. That win helped Nick Saban and Alabama stay at No. 1 as the College Football playoffs get underway.

On an interesting conference championship Saturday that featured a Clemson revenge win over Notre Dame and an Ohio state win in a game that looked dangerous for the Buckeyes, College Football fans knew there would be some shakeup to the top four.

Texas A&M, who did not participate in the SEC Championship, won their final game against Tennessee to finish the season 8-1. If any team other than the previously listed top four were to make it into the playoffs, it would be the Aggies.

The College Football Playoff committee has spoken, and here are the top four teams that will be playing in the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl for the chance to play in the National Championship:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Ohio State
  4. Notre Dame

The next two teams that just barely missed the cut are (5) Texas A&M and (6) Oklahoma.

Alabama will face off against the Fighting Irish on Jan. 1, 2021 at the Rose Bowl in Dallas, with their eyes set on earning National Championship No. 18 for the Crimson Tide in Miami.
