Jaguars RB James Robinson ruled questionable vs. Bears, 2 others ruled out

The Jags ruled two payers out for Sunday’s game against the Bear, including a key member of the secondary.

The Jacksonville Jaguars ruled two players out for Week 16’s game in receiver Collin Johnson and cornerback Sidney Jones IV. Running back James Robinson also surfaced in the status column as questionable.

All three players didn’t participate in practice Wednesday through Friday, which indicated that all would surface in the status column. However, Johnson and Robinson’s injuries stemmed from last Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, as both left the game early.

With Johnson out, the Jags could turn to their practice squad to promote either Josh Hammond or Damion Willis. If promoted, it would mark the first time either suited up for the Jags in a game.

Earlier in the week, coach Doug Marrone stated that Robinson wanted to play, but if he doesn’t, the Jags have three rushers on the active roster who could split snaps. Those players are Nathan Cottrell, Dare Ogunbowale, and Devine Ozigbo.

On the Bears’ end, defensive backs Jaylon Johnson and Buster Skrine were ruled out. Tight end Demetrius Harris was ruled doubtful while receiver Allen Robinson, defensive tackle Bilal Nichols, and pass rusher Khalil Mack were notables who were ruled questionable.
