For the second time in three seasons, the Cleveland Guardians are the champions of the American League Central.
Unlike in 2022 when the team last won the division title, this year the Guardians will be one of the top-two seeds in the American League and earn a bye through to the American League Division series.
Despite this being Cleveland’s sixth playoff berth in the last nine seasons, the team hasn’t made the ALCS since 2016 when they eventually lost in the World Series to the Chicago Cubs.
The Guardians have quietly been one of the best teams in baseball all season long, and this might be the year for the team to make another deep playoff run.
