Former Ravens Super Bowl winning QB Joe Flacco agrees to 1-year deal with Browns

Joe Flacco could prevent the Baltimore Ravens from winning a Super Bowl in 2023 after agreeing to a 1-year deal with the rival Cleveland Browns

Joe Flacco led the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory in 2013, and over a decade later, he could eventually play a part in Lamar Jackson not reaching the pinnacle of sports.

Flacco threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he’ll be the starter for the remainder of the season after signing a one-year deal.

With Deshaun Watson out for the year, Flacco will lead a Browns team that’s 8-5 and two games behind the first-place Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.

Cleveland is a game ahead of the remaining wildcard hopefuls and could eventually return to Baltimore for a postseason matchup.

Joe Flacco is back in the AFC North, but the Super Bowl winning quarterback is throwing touchdown passes for the Browns at the ripe age of 38.

With DeShaun Watson and Dorian Thompson-Robinson out, Flacco is starting at quarterback for the Rival Browns, and he just completed his first touchdown pass for the franchise.

In his first drive of his first start for the Browns, Flacco tossed a 24-yard touchdown to Jerome Ford to give Cleveland an early 7-0 lead over the Rams.

Flacco was 4-of-5 for 65 yards with a touchdown on the opening possession, including a strike on third-and-14 to Amari Cooper for a 22-yard gain.

Social media reacts to everything and Flacco’s efficient first drive was no different.

Flacco most recently played for the New York Jets and spent time with the Broncos and Eagles after playing 11 seasons in Baltimore. A veteran with big-game experience and a wealth of knowledge, Flacco has thrown for 42,320 yards and 232 touchdowns while starting 180 games with a 99-81 record.

In 2022 with the Jets, Flacco started in four games and completed 110 of his 191 passes for 1,051 yards and five touchdowns.
