Notes:

There is unsurprisingly a stark contrast in the talent of Clemson and Wake Forest’s projected starters, at least on paper, with the Demon Deacons only having a pair of former four-star prospects and no former five-stars as opposed to the Tigers’ 14 former four-star prospects and seven former five-stars. Wake Forest has one former top-275 national recruit in wide receiver Donavon Greene while only one other projected Demon Deacon starter was a top-400 national recruit (safety Brendon Harris, No. 371 national).

Most of Wake’s projected starters were ranked outside of the top 1,000 players in the country as recruits. Clemson, meanwhile, has 13 former top-100 national prospects and six former top-150 national recruits among its projected starters

Ahead of its matchup against the Demon Deacons this weekend, Clemson offered a Wake Forest commit on Thursday.

Yesterday morning, Khalil Barnes woke up to a missed call from Mickey Conn. Barnes had gone to bed early with his high school team having an early morning walk-through.

Normally if Clemson’s co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach calls Barnes, he’d give him a heads up. Though, the circumstances were a little bit different in this case.

Conn reaching out to Barnes wasn’t out of the blue as both he and Wesley Goodwin had been in contact with the three-star defensive back out of Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee since the weekend.

Barnes would get in touch with Conn, who was in a meeting, but would later be summoned to his head coach’s office while he was in his second block econ class.

“I got on the phone with Coach Conn,” Barnes said, recalling his conversation in a phone interview with The Clemson Insider. “He asked me how I was, how my family is and he started explaining the traits and attributes that it takes to be a Clemson football player.”

That’s when Conn told Barnes that he matched all of those and would be extending him an official offer.

Barnes immediately called his parents. The second phone call went to Bubba Chandler, a former Clemson commit now in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, who had been teammates with Barnes at North Oconee.

“It was definitely crazy. I’m blessed,” he said when asked about his reaction to receiving an offer. “I was really happy where I was…I was just kind of in the moment. I was just proud and I knew how hard I had worked for it. It was cool to finally get that one. Coach Conn gave me something to think about, but I just want to focus on helping my team win a state championship.”

Conn brought up a conversation that he had with Barnes and his father back in June.

In that conversation, which Barnes detailed in an interview with The Clemson Insider, Conn was honest and upfront about Clemson’s intentions. According to Barnes, Conn said that he would totally understand if they both hated him and Clemson, after having not pulled the trigger on an offer at the time.

”Just knowing that he remembered that conversation vividly and was able to be a man of his word and produce the offer, it shows what kind of man he is,” Barnes said of Conn.

Barnes, who has been committed to Dave Clawson’s program since June 28, said that Clemson has definitely given him something to think about. Right now, he’s set to be in Winston-Salem this weekend and wants to enjoy and experience the atmosphere as a Wake Forest commit Saturday.

“I’m gonna pray on it and God’s gonna lead me where I need to be,” Barnes said.

Barnes said that he’ll likely discuss taking a game-day visit to Clemson, but whether that’s something that actually takes place is not a question he can definitively answer right now.

4-star Sunshine State LB had ‘fantastic’ first gameday visit to Clemson

A top athlete from the Sunshine State, with a tie to Clemson, returned to Tiger Town for the Louisiana Tech game this past weekend.

Navarre (Fla.) 2024 four-star linebacker Zavier Hamilton was back on campus last Saturday for Clemson’s 48-20 win over Louisiana Tech, after competing at the Dabo Swinney Camp back in June.

“It was fantastic. I had so much fun,” Hamilton told The Clemson Insider in a phone interview Tuesday night. “(What stood out) is the fact that they were playing La. Tech and the entire stadium was still packed out. That was the crazy part for me. It wasn’t like a rivalry game or nothing, but the entire stadium was packed.”

“It was absolutely amazing,” he said of the atmosphere in The Valley. “I couldn’t have even imagined that and it was so much fun.”

While Hamilton is listed as an athlete by several recruiting services, Clemson is looking at the talented Sunshine State prospect to play linebacker. So, it comes as no surprise that he keyed in on the Tigers’ linebackers during Clemson’s 28-point win over La. Tech on Saturday.

“I like how they play,” Hamilton said. “I like the way that Coach Goodwin utilizes them a lot, like in coverage too. It’s not just sitting and running, nothing like that. I watched two of their linebackers get picks in the game, it was crazy.”

Hamilton sees himself in the mold of Barrett Carter, who has become Clemson’s Nickel-SAM backer. He said that’s actually where he foresees himself playing at the next level, especially when Hamilton considers his positional versatility.

He had a chance to catch up with Wesley Goodwin prior to Clemson’s third victory of the season. Goodwin, Clemson’s defensive coordinator/linebackers coach, has served as Hamilton’s primary recruiter throughout the process.

“He said that he was excited to have me up there and he wants me to come back up as soon as possible,” Hamilton recalled of Goodwin’s message to him.

According to Hamilton, while the two have discussed a potential offer, Goodwin has told him to stay patient and that an offer should be on the way sooner than later.

Goodwin hasn’t handed out the second batch of offers to linebackers in the class of 2024 just yet. Jefferson (Ga.) five-star Sammy Brown and Olney (MD.) Our Lady Good Counsel HS four-star Aaron Chiles are the only backers in their last class to report offers from the Tigers.

Since the calendar struck Sept. 1, Hamilton’s relationship with Goodwin has gotten even better. They’ve talked just about every single day.

“He’s just a great guy, I couldn’t say it any more,” Hamilton said.

In addition to Clemson, Hamilton mentioned schools like Virginia Tech, Kentucky, USF, Florida, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee and Michigan State, as those he’s heard from since the beginning of the month. He’s also heard from just about every school that’s offered him up until this point.

Hamilton hasn’t set up any game day visits at the moment, but he does know that he’s returning to The Valley for the South Carolina game at the end of the regular season.

“I want to see the atmosphere for a rivalry game,” Hamilton said. “I can only imagine what that would be like.

“I’m pumped for it,” he added. “I cannot wait.”

Promising Peach State DB, ACC commit reports Clemson offer

Clemson handed out a new offer to a class of 2023 prospect on Thursday.

Bogart (Ga.) North Oconee High School’s Khalil Barnes reported the offer via social media.

Barnes — a 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior in the class of 2023 —competed in the Dabo Swinney Camp in June. He proved to himself then that he was worthy of a Clemson offer, though he returned home without one.

“They didn’t offer, but I had a really good talk with Coach (Mickey)  Conn,” Barnes told The Clemson Insider back in June. “They are kind of waiting to see what happens this weekend if anyone commits. He told me I should know as early as next week or as late as the end of the month if they’re going to do it.

“It’s a business and I can’t be mad at that. I’m honestly really happy with that because (Coach) Conn told me to my face that I can easily play football at Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and all the big places. He also told me I was the best coverage DB they have had at camp all week.”

Now, Barnes, who verbally pledged to Dave Clawson’s program on June 28, has a Clemson offer in hand.

Local product turned Peach State QB has another ‘good experience’ at Clemson

Clemson played host last weekend to a promising quarterback prospect – a local product who now plays in the Peach State. Gavin Owens, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound sophomore in the class of 2025, made his way to Death Valley for the Tigers’ 48-20 win over …

Clemson played host last weekend to a promising quarterback prospect – a local product who now plays in the Peach State.

Gavin Owens, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound sophomore in the class of 2025, made his way to Death Valley for the Tigers’ 48-20 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night.

“It’s pretty electric with the new lights and the new jumbotron,” he said to The Clemson Insider regarding the night game atmosphere.

Owens played his freshman season last year at Wren High School (Piedmont, S.C.) but has since transferred to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, Ga.). In leading his team to a 4-1 record through five games this season, he has completed 66 percent of his passes for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns with no interceptions, according to MaxPreps.

Owens, who has been participating in the Dabo Swinney Camp since he was about 10 years old, has traveled to Tiger Town numerous times and once again enjoyed his latest trip to campus.

On Saturday, he was able to catch up with offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Brandon Streeter, as well as offensive player development coach Tajh Boyd.

“I always go back there and I love it,” Owens said. “It’s just great to go back and see everybody, talk to coaches and talk to Streeter again. Stayed after the game, just building on our relationship. I talked with Tajh Boyd, too, seeing him. Every time I go, it’s always a good experience.”

What did Owens hear from the coaches?

“They just asked how my season was going,” he said, “and I said I’d let them know how I was doing, and they just told me to keep up the good work.”

Owens also had the chance to speak with DJ Uiagalelei and liked what he saw from Clemson’s junior quarterback, who completed 17 of 29 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over La. Tech, while rushing for 62 yards on nine carries.

“He’s actually doing pretty good, him moving around, using his legs more now, delivering the ball,” Owens said. “He looks pretty good. I talked to him after, too.”

“He seems like a great person,” Owens added. “He seems like a great leader.”

Owens cited being around the coaches, taking in the environment again, attending the game and going into the locker room after the game as the best parts of his visit.

“Even staying after the game and going into the locker room, seeing the players and see how they interact with each other and how the coaches interact with the players,” he said. “I think that was the highlight, just seeing the players.”

Owens owns a half-dozen offers already, including an SEC offer from Kentucky and ACC offers from Louisville and Virginia Tech.

It’s still early in Owens’ recruitment, but did Saturday’s visit give him a better idea of where he stands with the Tigers in the recruiting process right now?

“It does,” he said. “Being around them and them showing love like they always do, just building our relationship stronger.”

Owens went to South Carolina for its season opener against Georgia State on Sept. 3 and plans to return to Clemson this season, as well as visit schools like Georgia and Louisville.

As a freshman last season, Owens passed for 2,262 yards and 19 touchdowns.

4-star Peach State wideout gets first feel for Clemson

Sacovie White wanted to check out Clemson for himself, to see if Dabo Swinney’s program would be a good fit. That’s why the four-star athlete out of Cass (Cartersville, Ga.) was in attendance for Clemson’s 48-20 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday. …

This past weekend marked the fast-rising Peach State wideout’s first time on campus and the Tigers knocked their first impression with White out of the park.

White, who was accompanied by his mother and sister, said that as soon as they got in the car following Saturday’s game, all they could talk about was the visit.

“It was great. I really liked it,” White said of his visit in a phone interview with The Clemson Insider Tuesday night. “Mainly, it was just the atmosphere. The fans really love you there and (Clemson) does a lot. They show you a lot of love. I like that.”

“It was fun. I got to experience a night game before and night games are always, always cool,” he continued, “so, that was a good experience. The coaches really (stood out) and how they try to find out about you so fast.”

White spoke with both Clemson wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham, as well as cornerbacks coach Mike Reed.

“They were just talking to me about what position I would be playing up there,” White recalled. “That week, it was really just me getting up there, seeing the facilities, but then they said next time, I would really be with my position group. They just wanted to get me up there so I could see what it’s like, what a game would be like, especially a night game — those are always fun.”

After getting to meet Grisham, White repeated what recruits often say about Clemson’s wide receivers coach once they get to meet him, that Grisham is the same man that he is over the phone.

“It’s just really a bond thing that I’m trying to build with him,” White explained. “I’m a late bloomer and they really hadn’t known about me. So, now it’s just about building that bond, building that chemistry, where we can see what we can do at the next level to where they offer me or whatever it is.”

This weekend, White will be in Athens to watch No. 1 Georgia take on Kent State. He’s also looking to visit Auburn, Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ohio State and some other schools in the Southeast, to name a few.

White is looking forward to getting back to Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 1, when the Tigers play host to N.C. State. This time around, White will be accompanied by his entire family.

“We just want to go to a game that we can see them compete in,” he said. “That right there is just gonna show us what type of team they are, what they do, how they move the ball, what the defense does and just see what it would be like if I fit in there or I don’t fit in there. My parents just want me to fit in a place where they feel like it’s gonna be home for me. That’s what I really want, just the team chemistry and the bond, not just on the field, but off the field too. That’s really it.”

Still, White got a good feel for Clemson’s offensive game plan against La. Tech and as a receiver, he appreciated the way the Tigers spread the football and gave their wideouts a chance to make plays.

White said that he watched Clemson true freshman receiver Antonio Williams a little bit and talked with Grisham about how they utilize the Dutch Fork (Irmo, S.C.) product.

“That’s what they compare me to,” he said.

5-star Texas QB talks recruitment, why Clemson is among his top schools

Clemson’s top quarterback target in the class of 2024 dropped his top 10 schools this past Sunday via social media.

Willis (Texas) five-star DJ Lagway is down to Clemson, Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Southern Cal, Alabama and Baylor.

Lagway (6-2, 225) is ranked as the No. 5 quarterback in the country and the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2024 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Clemson got Lagway on campus for a pair of unofficial visit(s) in April and June. He earned an offer based on the relationship he’s built with Clemson’s coaching staff and what he displayed when Brandon Streeter stopped by Willis High School to watch him throw in person during the live evaluation period.

“I chose those top 10 schools because those are the schools that’ve been most interested in me and have been texting me and talking to me the most during this whole Sept. 1 process,” Lagway told The Clemson Insider in a phone interview Tuesday night. “I feel like those schools I have the best relationships with so far and I’m just excited to keep building relationships with those schools.”

It didn’t come as a surprise when Lagway included Dabo Swinney’s program as a part of his top schools. He went into detail on what sets Clemson apart from the rest and why the Tigers are ultimately one of his top choices at the moment,

“I’d say because of the atmosphere — the Christian-based atmosphere,” Lagway explained. “It’s just amazing. It’s different than any other school. I feel like that’s the reason why it sets Clemson apart.”

Lagway heard from Clemson coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter pretty immediately once the calendar rolled over to Sept. 1.

“I hear from them every single day,” he said. “I feel like the communication is great between me and them. I feel like our relationship will continue to grow.”

Lagway said that the messaging from Clemson hasn’t changed. According to Lagway, the Tigers have let him know that he’s their guy at quarterback in the class of 2024 and they’re excited to keep building this relationship with him.

Lagway hasn’t had the chance to set a game day visit to Clemson quite yet. He said that he and his family are still looking into buying plane tickets, so once they get that settled, he will “most definitely” be at a game.

“I just want to see how the environment is,” Lagway said.

While Lagway hasn’t set anything up for this coming Friday, he indicated that his game day visits have been a week-to-week thing for him and his family. Though, he’s already made visits to both Florida and Texas A&M.

As far as his decision timeline is concerned, Lagway will like to have a college decision rendered prior to his senior season. Not only will he be a mid-year enrollee, but he wants to be able to help recruit his class at whatever institution he ultimately decides to commit to.

With that being said, what are some of the more important factors that Lagway is looking for in a school at the next level?

“Really just the family-atmosphere, you know what I mean?” he said. “Somewhere that I’m loved even if I’m playing good or playing bad. Somewhere that cares for me. Somewhere that I can develop; that’s a huge thing for me, developing into a better quarterback.”

‘Versatile’ Peach State receiver details ‘unbelievable’ visit to Clemson

Clemson played host this past weekend to a junior Peach State wide receiver who’s on the Tigers’ recruiting radar.

Johns Creek (Ga.) High School’s Kyle Vaka, a class of 2024 prospect, made an unofficial visit to Death Valley for the Louisiana Tech game on Saturday night.

“The visit to Clemson was unbelievable,” he told The Clemson Insider. “The atmosphere was unbelievable. I knew going in I was excited about the LED lights and the new scoreboard and just seeing it at a night game, and I was not disappointed. The crowd was incredible. The lights, the scoreboard, the entrance – everything was electric and a really incredible and a great experience.”

One part of the experience that Vaka especially enjoyed was standing on the sideline during pregame warmups and seeing Clemson’s receivers run routes prior to the Tigers’ eventual 48-20 victory over the Bulldogs.

“I love watching the warmups on the sideline and seeing especially the wide receiver room and those guys run routes,” he said. “It kind of gives me an idea of how much harder I need to work and where I need to be, where I need to get to. It’s really motivating, and I love watching those guys and learning from them.”

While on campus, Vaka had the chance to spend time with offensive player development coach Tajh Boyd, as well as socialize with receivers coach Tyler Grisham over a meal.

“Coach Grisham, he ate dinner with my dad and I, and we had some great conversations about not only football but what’s important in life – relationships, God, values and just building your life around that,” Vaka said. “So, Coach Grisham’s a really good coach. He’s a really good dude as well, and you can see that through the conversations he has with the recruits, with the players – not even just talking about football but about life and what’s important in life.”

Vaka added that he feels his relationship with Grisham “definitely” grew stronger during Saturday’s visit.

“Got to spend some quality time with him at dinner, and that was really enjoyable,” he said. “I’m going to continue to grow that relationship, and just excited.”

Vaka has traveled to Tiger Town a bunch of times. He made his way to campus for a couple of games last season, went to this year’s spring game in April and participated in the Dabo Swinney Camp this summer for the second year in a row – not to mention a couple of other trips he has made to visit his sister, who actually attends Clemson.

Did Vaka’s latest visit give him a better feel for where he stands with the Tigers at this point in the recruiting process?

“Definitely,” he said. “I still have the same goals in mind that I set out before my junior year. I’ve got to put on a great junior year on tape. I’ve got to perform this year. I’m going to get back up to camp next summer. I’m going to visit again definitely this year and definitely in the spring. So, I’m just going to keep the process going, keep the relationship going, and I’m excited.”

Speaking of Vaka’s junior campaign, he’s said “it’s going great” for him personally so far. Through four games, he has recorded 13 receptions for 275 yards and two touchdowns.

Vaka sees himself as a versatile receiver who can line up anywhere on the field, whether it be in the slot or on the outside.

“I think I run really good routes, and I catch the ball really well,” he said. “So, I feel like you can put me anywhere and I can succeed, do whatever you need me to do – blocking, whatever it is. So, just anywhere – slot, outside – I feel like I’m versatile.”

Prior to Saturday’s Clemson visit, Vaka went to Vanderbilt a week earlier for its game vs. Wake Forest.

A standout athlete from the Volunteer State returned to Tiger Town for the Louisana Tech game this past weekend.

Webb School of Knoxville’s Markeis Barrett — a four-star athlete in the class of 2024 who holds SEC offers from programs like Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Arkansas — was back on campus last Saturday after competing at the Dabo Swinney Camp in June.

“It was pretty good. I loved it,” Barrett told The Clemson Insider in a phone interview Monday night. “This time, I felt like they showed more love towards me since now that they’re recruiting me more. The last time, (Barrett was in attendance for Clemson’s win over Florida State on Oct. 30, 2021) I was a little bit younger. Now that I’m a junior, I feel like they showed more love.”

Not only that, but the atmosphere definitely jumped out at Barrett, who feels like he truly got to experience a Clemson gameday this time around. When he visited for the Florida State game last season, there were still limitations on the overall experience due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“The fans stood out to me and the atmosphere was amazing,” Barrett said. “Running down the hill, being up there at the top, that really stood out to me; like the energy was different when they ran out. That stood out to me. The fans was going crazy, everything was just different.”

Beyond the atmosphere, Barrett appreciated having a chance to speak directly with Tyler Grisham before and after the game.

“What I got to hear from him is where I’m at in recruiting,” Barrett said regarding Clemson’s wide receivers coach’s message to him. “He was like, I’m high on their board, but he’s only offered one slot. So, we’ll see. I gotta do my part. I just gotta go get it. Just try to go get the (offer).”

Grisham reached out to Barrett on Sept. 1 and there’s been a lot of direct contact between the two parties. It’s been nearly three weeks and Barrett admitted that his relationship with Clemson’s receivers coach has gotten way better since assistant coaches like Grisham could directly contact prospects in the class of 2024.

It’s fair to say that Clemson’s interest in Barrett is genuine at this point in time.

“It definitely feels pretty good, man,” he said. “It definitely motivates me to keep getting better and also putting more stuff on film, so I could potentially get that offer. That’s a school that I would want to go to. It means a lot to me that they’re recruiting me.”

Barrett also had a chance to speak with the assistant director of football operations, Jody Evans, who he said is the recruiter for his area. Evans, who was Clemson coach Dabo Swinney’s roommate at the University of Alabama, was Barrett’s first contact at Clemson and helped introduce him to Grisham.

“I got a better relationship with both of them now,” he said.

Barrett hopes to see both Grisham and Evans again when he visits for Clemson’s Nov. 12 matchup against Louisville at Memorial Stadium. That’s currently the plan for Barrett, but he also could foresee going to another night game instead.

As far as other gameday visits go, Barrett said that he thinks he’s gonna pay visits to Kentucky, Tennessee, Mizzou, USC, Vanderbilt, Boston College and Arkansas. Before his Clemson visit this past Saturday, Barrett visited both Georgia and Vanderbilt.

Another thing that Barrett mentioned towards the end of his conversation with The Clemson Insider, is that he got a pair of gloves from Will Shipley when the sophomore running back was running out for Saturday’s game.

“He told me to do something special with them,” Barrett recalled.

There’s no question about it. This Friday night, Barrett will be rocking those all-white gloves.

Barrett (6-1, 175) is considered by 247Sports to be the nation’s No. 42 ranked athlete and No. 4 prospect in the 2024 class from the state of Tennessee.

Top cornerback prospect can see himself at Clemson after ‘great’ visit

It didn’t take long for Omillio Agard to rave about his latest visit to Clemson.

After visiting campus earlier this summer and participating in the Dabo Swinney Camp, which helped him earn a coveted offer from the Tigers, the four-star cornerback out of Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep, returned for Clemson’s first night game of the season in The Valley; a 48-20 win over Louisiana Tech.

“It was great,” Agard told The Clemson Insider in a phone interview Monday night. “It just made me want to go back again. I told the coaches that I want to go back and that I’m still there. It was great. I loved it. It was a family feel. It made me feel wanted and needed.”

With Agard being a top priority for Clemson and Mike Reed, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers laid out the red carpet for him and his father. Needless to say, it went above and beyond Agard’s expectations.

“They treated me like a player or like a commit, you could say,” he said. “I did everything everybody else did — even more…I was in the locker room. I was up on the hill when they ran down. I had to walk through the student section with all of them telling me to come to Clemson and showing love. It was amazing. Those were the things that really stood out.

Agard was one of a select few players to have a pregame meeting with Clemson coach Dabo Swinney. Swinney and his staff reiterated to the Philadelphia native just how much of a priority he is for the Tigers in the 2024 recruiting class.

“Coach Swinney said that this place is not for everybody,” Agard began as he explained Clemson’s message to him on Saturday. “It’s kind of similar to my school. That’s why I feel like the place fits me and that’s why they only offered four other DBs and I was the first one. It was a great feeling. I love Coach Swinney and what he’s doing and what he’s been doing for over a decade. He’s a great coach. He’s a great guy, very energetic, and somebody that I want to be coached by.”

Agard said that it was great to see Reed, who he described as being “ecstatic” and “hype.” His relationship with Clemson’s cornerbacks coach has been very tight going on two years now and he’s looking forward to keeping building on it.

“I’m getting closer (with Coach Reed) and he’s getting closer with my family and everybody,” Agard said. “Me getting closer with the players and the whole coaching staff is great. Me and Coach Swinney are very close. I appreciate him. I feel comfortable around him and he feels comfortable around me. It’s a great relationship.”

Being a cornerback himself, Agard keyed in on his own position group but also paid close attention to Reed during the 28-point win.

“I watched him practice with the guys and coach them in drills and stuff,” Agard said. “He’s a technician. He’s just like a trainer. If he wasn’t a DB coach, he’d be a trainer. I know he can prepare me for the next level, which would be the NFL. Their defense definitely fits me. They play a little bit of zone but are man corners and he’s gonna go tell you to guard somebody one-on-one and that’s my specialty. He can teach me all the different techniques and stuff that I don’t even know right now. I know he could take me to the next level as a player and a person.”

While Agard is coming off the high of a visit and things are always fluid when it comes to recruiting, there’s a reason why Clemson made his initial top-10 list. With that said, where does Clemson currently stand with Agard after his latest visit to campus?

“They’re definitely at the top of my list, with a couple of other schools,” he revealed, “ but, Clemson will always be at the top.”

“Clemson’s definitely a great fit,” Agard added. “It fits me. I see myself there.”

Agard said that he and his father would love to get back for another Clemson game day, but with him being nearly 700 miles away, it may be easier to conduct those visits after the season. Agard indicated that if he’s unable to get back down to Tiger Town this season, he’ll try to visit twice next summer.

Agard will be in attendance when the University of Tennessee plays host to the University of Alabama in Knoxville on Saturday, Oct. 15. Two weeks later, Agard will be in Ann Arbor for the Michigan-Michigan State game.

As far as a decision timeline is concerned, Agard said that he’ll definitely make a decision prior to his senior season. He plans on being an early enrollee, so the sooner he can render a college decision before January 2024, the better.
